2.8ghz @ 2.8 overheating

The problem is RMA's take a long time and i am hoping to be up and running ASAP b/c i need this system. Hopefully Newegg will be good to me

Also keep in the mind that the ABIT's are notorious for misreporting the actual CPU temps, it's usually around a 4:5 ratio of actual to reported temps in my experience...

More troubleshooting...my case temps are 19C right now (yes its cold here ) and my cpu temps are idling @ 77C. Either the Integrated Heat Spreader is somehow on wrong or i have a terrible temperature diode. Either way the Zalman ALCU is coming next week just so i can test this out. Weird!

Did you do a BIOS update? Your temps may be right on par, but just being read incorrectly.
