I've had two DDR RAM modules burned out, one of them brand new. Same model: Crucial PC2100 CAS2.5 DDR. Don't know if it's a voltage short or heat problem. First time it burned out, I got the blue screen of death in Windows XP Pro. It memory dumped on me and I restarted the computer during the count-up. Next thing I know, the motherboard(Abit KG7) starts beeping and my memory chip is found to be defunct. I just installed a new module a day ago. Again, WinXP crashed on me and my memory chip was killed. Both times it happened, I was running a game program (1st time-Half-Life: Counterstrike, 2nd time - Serious Sam). And this only started happening after I installed XP. IS THIS AN XP PROBLEM?
