I've never used Namecheap... not familiar with what tools you've got available. If you can't login to edit your account information on their website, maybe an email to their support folks could get your address/phone changed. I know other people here mention Namecheap quite a bit, isn't there a way to log in to edit account info???

Try this
Go to NameCheap.com
In the upper right login with your username and password (these were required in order to have an account so you SHOULD have this info)
Now click MODIFY DOMAINS
You should see a list of domain(s) click EDIT next to the one you want to change the info

Did it work?

Newbie question: After you put in your name server info from Dixie at godaddy, and you wait for it to propagate or whatever it does for 48 hours, how do you know when it's done and works?

you try to open your website and it's showing whatever you've put in your dixiesys' account... that should be evidence enough

Actually, as far as I know, there's no definitive way to know whether your domain has full propagated. Obviously, you can easily test to see if your domain has propagated to your ISP. However, it might not have progagated to your friend's ISP on the other side of the country or even the other side of the world which is why the rule of thumb is 48 hours. Hope that helps.

If you leave it on the sever, you simply lost everything. The only way to backup your email is use POP3 setting and download locally.

ok 24 hours ago i got a responce on my trouble ticket saying it was being forwarded to gary and he would get back to me in 2 days! It has been one day and still nothing from gary! this is freaking crazy when they say 24 hour support i dont think they mean they are there 24 hours i think they are saying that it will take a minimum of 24 hours to hear anything! The account name and password you set-up in the control panel for mail?
Edit: and remember the account name and password are case sensitive in outlook account setup. Someone can send you mail to the name in what ever case they want, but the account name must match the name exactly as it is in the contol panel.

I did that in the control panel my and then followed the email exactly. Is the pop domain supposed to be mail.domain.com or pop.domain.com, I have tried both of those neither worked. I even tried with the admin account, but still nothing

Your login name is: XXX@domainname.com

So, if your username is bob, and your domain is bobthebuilder you would login with:

Yes. The "trick" is that you need to enable the password for outgoing mail also. . .
