I have two internal hard disks. First one is a SATA 640GB WD that has Windows XP and the second is a 160GB hard PATA disk that I've used for backups.
I wiped it clean and then installed Windows 7 on it as part of a dual boot system and I've run into 2 problems.
1) At post I now get a 1-2 minute pause while displaying "Initializing USB controller". It eventually moves on and gets me into windows 7. Usb devices seem to be functioning fine with no ! in the device manager.
2) In XP I can see both drives. The 640GB shows up as a "C:" drive and contains XP. The 160GB drive shows up as n "E:" drive just like it did previously. But when I boot to Windows 7 the only drive I can see is the 160GB drive labeled "C:". I'd like to be able to access my MP3's, documents, etc from the 640GB drive. Why does it not show up?
