2 NICs? or fix for onboard NIC.

Problem:
It seems like my onboard NIC is being neglected resources. When i play a game, while the map loads like any other 3d mmorpg theres no loading screen, the landscape just continues. During this split second i get a jerk sometimes and thats exactly when i disconnect or loose control of my character then diconnect soon after.

Tried methods to fix:
I have tried reformatting, different drivers, older windows install from an old HD, various NIC tweaks / speed tweaks + manual, firewall, router, etc anything and everything that could possibly be checked that i could think of. Even a windows install with game and drivers only. The single thing i noticed was when the GFX were turned way down i would have less jerks and disconnect.

What worked/2 NICs:
Finally i remembered that i could reserve resources for a specific IRQ (to NIC) but i couldnt find, so i did the next best thing and installed a new NIC. Not a single problem after the new NIC/reserve. So now what i do is switch between the 2 manaually when im playing/not playing. Is there a way to keep both connected and somehow specify which one to use? or even better, a fix for the onboard NIC?

Have you tried updating the drivers for the onboard NIC?

Unless you just need the extra PCI slot that the new NIC takes up, I'd probably just disable the onboard NIC if updating the the drivers don't fix the problem.

Yes ive tried, unless theres something other then chipset drivers from nvidia. Im thinking if I should just use the NIC that i installed but its very old and not Gb for lan. Im actually looking for a fix over the 2 NICs but if theres no fix a simple way of switching between the 2 would also work for now.
