Is it possible to have (2) SSIds on one router?

Routers do not have SSID.

Wireless Access Point (AP), or Wireless Access Point that are in the same plastic Box with Router circuit do.

The capacity to provide one or more SSIDs is part of the AP firmware.

Most Entry level old APs have only one SSID some have addtional Guest SSID.

Newer Dual band APS have the Capacity for 2.4GHz SSID, 5GHz SSID and Guest SSID (in sum 3 SSIDs)

Some APS provides even more you have to log to the AP section of the firmware and find if your have more.

In order to have two SSIDs, the router's firmware has to support it. For example, D-Link DIR-825 has a "guest zone", which is essentially a separate SSID that you can use. You can choose whether you want the routing between zones enabled or not. This feature is created in order to give your house guests Internet access without letting them into your home's network, and without giving them your "main" SSID's password.

This means, getting two SSIDs is possible, but depends on firmware a specific router has, you need to research a specific model you wish to buy to know for sure.

If it's dual band you could have 1 for 2.4ghz and one for 5ghz... but probably not what you're looking to do.
