I probably would have been one too to sit on the sidelines... and hated myself for it.

I got on the subway this morning and this guy gets on at the next stop talking to himself saying "f* the transit authority, motherf*s", and just mumbling about how stupid they are. Then the next thing you know he jumps up onto the empty chairs and starts ripping down the advertisements off the car sidewalls and throwing the paper all over the place. He jumped up into the chair next to me and tore the sign down. Nobody did a thing (including me). Everyone just minded their own business. I wasn't sure whether to say something so I just pretended it wasn't happening. At the next stop I got off and went to a different car.

I know exactly where this McD is. Was once there on a chore and had an hour to kill so I whipped out my laptop and sat there to do some work.

It's a rougher neighborhood but not the worst. It's the type of establishment where there are just people hanging around and people have conversations all day.. albeit rather circular ones.

I would think that this is out of place even for a McD in a poor neighborhood.

A part of me wonders if they secretly want him to kill both of them. I'm an average height lady and I can't imagine swinging a chair at a guy twice my size. What if he swings it back? There's no way I can block it. Would these people do the same thing to a bear or a tiger? Swing a chair at a tiger and hope it doesn't kill you in retaliation? Or maybe hope it does kill you in retaliation?

Welcome to America. I've been told to stop saying I'm Jewish because it might offend people. That just encourages me to say it even more. Apparently gay people get similar treatment. Don't tell anyone you're gay because they might get offended. Who cares if they get offended? If they don't like it, they can feel free to leave the country or put a gun in their mouth.

Also, this forum is turning into a breeding ground for racist bullshit. I'm glad the mods stepped in and handed out vacations...but it makes my stomach turn when posters like ThinClient question why someone who used the phrase "Typical Negro Behavior" or "TNB" for short was banned.
