How do you figure?

1- 20" 2005fpw is 20" Viewable.. (Diagonal measurement)

Actually, the 20'' measures a straight diagonal across.

So... using the properties of a 45-45-90 Triangle. We can assume that the width will be .7071 times 20 (14.142)

And the length should be twice that which is 28.284''.

And no, you don't have 40'' of usable screen space, you have 400'' of square inches of usable screen space. If you wanted to use regular monitor measurements it would be 31.622'' screen.

My understanding is 40"x20" of total viewing area? Aren't the measurements diagonal?

My 18"s give me 30"x15" across even though they measure each 18" diagonally.

So one 20" screen is not 20" of usable screen space?

Nah, it's 20'' diagonally from one corner to another. Also, my mistake, I didn't realize the 2005FPW is a Widescreen, not a square. So you'd have to get the dimensions of the actual screen, but you get the picture.

Also, you could just use the dimensions of the 2005fpw, and do a2+b2=c2, but these dimensions (18.6x15.3) aren't the actual screen (it includes the black base).

It is cool, the true retard didn't realize you had to scroll to the right to see it all.

The screenshot already showed that! That's why it looks silly!

Yea it is high enough. If you sit the 6ft away like you should, its perfect actually.

Cost me $2500CDN (that includes taxes, brokerages and itnl shipping) to have it shipped from the states. The image quality is absolutely amazing. Like, the reviews can't do this thing justice. I ran it at a lower resolution as well for other tasks like web browsing far away from the screen and it still looked great. Most important purchase when buying a gaming computer is the monitor, and I definately lucked out. Oh, don't let the 12ms response time fool you. Thats decently low for something this big, you don't notice it when you're sitting back a bit.

To me there's a little too much extra unused space on that right side. I guess if you do alot of photo work or page layouts it's cool, but it's alot of space I would never use.
