I got 2 Computers, all working with XP(1*CHinese,1*German).
I would like to connect it as a home NTWK to share ADSL on line.
2 NTWK cards in 1, 1 in other. Between is a crossovered cable.
Even I followed installation instruction in XP, but still not working.
Please help to set it right.
I hope 2 xp can share files each other and of course go on line together.
Thanks in advance.

That setup can work, but it's far from the best in terms of reliability and ease. IMO, you would be much better of just buying a cheap $20 switch to throw in there to share the connection. It's a much better ssetup in every way.

Take two steps.

1. Ignore the DSL and make sure that you have functional Network between the two computers.

Once you have two Networked computers.

2. Install and set ICS.

Instructions to configure ICS here:

Windows XP Internet Connection sharing.]

This page includes a collection of links that might further help.

Link: Basic Networking.

P.S. ICS some time does not work well with DSL that is PPPOE based.

Rong, you'd probably be far better off getting a router with NAT ability and using that to share the DSL Internet connection than using ICS to let one computer share the Internet connection with another. Getting a router and your computers configured to use it is far easier than getting ICS working. A router can also protect your computers using its firewall feature. You can also easily add more than 2 computers by just plugging them into the router.

You can get the Netgear RP614 Web Safe Router is a good choice and is less than $60.

I will try.
But the Basic Networking seems not reachable.
