I got a 20% off coupon from Borders via email yesterday. It says I can email the link to friends so I don't think this effects the forum rules in a negative way.

Did you use the Forward to a Friend function on the email? My coupon looks like it may be serialized. The Forward to a Friend function states that THEY will send a SPECIAL version of the email to them. Mine did not say that I could forward the link to a friend.

The email clearly states that I can email the offer to a friend. Since I've got lots of friends here, I'm posting the link.

This type of deal is posted on a regular basis by Borders. I've used coupons posted like this from other posts and they have always worked when I print the coupon and tell them I printed it out off the internet.

Besides, we're talking $10 off $50 if you buy a book that costs exactly $50. It's not like this is a huge hot deal here.

The coupon doesn't say anything about a $50 minimum. My mom will love it.

that's because they changed it -- it was a minimum of $50 -- maybe borders is watching the usage of them and sweetened the deal when they realized it wasn't being redeemed? interesting
