Can't say that I'm surprised, thought still pissed. WAG: I tried to call the Mass. Attorney General's office Consumer Hotline where they could give me some more info, but are closed until 10am tomorrow. I will try again tomorrow, and let the folks in here know. While it may sound like I don't know what I'm talking about, I have heard many times where stores in MA were forced to swallow their mistake when they make a price error like this. BOTOH, this was a online thing, so I'm not sure if this would be applicable?

Yeah- well, it wasn't technically a pricing mistake- it was priced correctly. Most stores would just let things like this slide, strictly on a customer relations basis.

That said, my state's consumer protection laws are pretty good, and I'm pretty sure CUSA will have to honor this deal.

GizmoJoe posted a coupon code that will add the $0.01 shipping. The preorder button is back on the HL2 page. I guess the CompUSA folks had to "fix" all those orders w/ the glitched price before allowing more people to order the game. I just placed a preorder for $40 + tax. Not as good as the previous deal, but not too shabby either.

It's a HOT, HOT ,HOT, deal by CompUSSR standards. The 'free' Overnight shipping for a penny is great, but I think a lot of other places will be selling it (God only knows when the damn thing actually comes out?) for the same price of $39.99 or a bit less.

If you look at what all of the other stores are offering, I'm sure this deal is very, very warm.

Now if the game comes out on a Friday, will I get my game on Saturday morning? Or does CompUSSR ship their stock of games early, so I could get it a few days before the official release date?

OR just because it's scheduled for release on XX/XX/2003, does it mean that CompUSSR will mail it to us that day or to us a few days after the official ship date?

I better receive the game within 1 or 2 days after it has been released, because what would be the point to receive it 1 week later? This is the first time preordering a game, b/c it was a great deal with free ship and the game looks extremely promising. Also sometimes new games will drop in price within a couple weeks, but then go back up or they won't even drop at all like battlefield 1942. That game was insane, it stayed at the $45 range for all these months. I'm sure a lot waited for it to drop, but that never did happen so I didn't get that game.
