I ended up buying a 30GB Kingston budget SSD at $41 AR AC FS. Probably can use it for some boot drive somewhere. Was going to get a Corsair Force 120GB for around $170 AR AC, but seems like Sandforce drives still aren't as bulletproof as other ones.
The email code gives you more off the drive so use that if you really need a Vertex 2. I would not buy one at this time until they've resolved the 25nm/34nm NAND issue, let alone the Sandforce issues.
Got the email, but I'm not using it. Wouldn't let you stack with the existing code HARDOCPX216A for the OCZ Vertex 2.
