The 10AM shell shocker is the 3.5" 90GB Vertex 2 for $135 after $30 rebate. If the code works on that we're talking $102AR for a 90GB SandForce drive. Too bad these drives have both controller and NAND issues, 'cause that's the best deal I've ever seen on a SandForce drive. Very close to $1/GB.

This couldn't have come at a better time. Just last night one of the SSD's in my RAID0 died. I wasn't really wanting a new SSD but I don't guess ~$370 shipped for a new 240GB Mushkin Callisto Deluxe was all that bad considering I had to replace something.

I ended up buying a 30GB Kingston budget SSD at $41 AR AC FS. Probably can use it for some boot drive somewhere. Was going to get a Corsair Force 120GB for around $170 AR AC, but seems like Sandforce drives still aren't as bulletproof as other ones.



The email code gives you more off the drive so use that if you really need a Vertex 2. I would not buy one at this time until they've resolved the 25nm/34nm NAND issue, let alone the Sandforce issues.

I got the $94 60gb gskill - NR and better NAD on board. OCZ has 25nm memory and not giving the same performance and having less formatted space on them. This is a know issue with OCZ drives.http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1586111
