The 20% coupon says it is for November 26th, 2009. However it started working for me at 5AM Pacific Time today (November 25th). So thought I'd share. It is good for up to $500 off a one-time purchase from your AAFES.com account. Obviously, this will only work for military personnel who have access to the site.

Code= 9189vip1

Saved myself $160 today. Good luck all.

WTH is AAFES.com. Might help to explain that.
It is basically a club store for Army and Air Force personnel only. It is part of the department of defense and gets a bit of a subsidy from the DoD (in the form of free labor and shipping). But, mostly it uses only a little bit of government financial support. It trys to be a low profit store (cheap prices) and returns a chunk of that profit back to the members. It is basically a way for us to drool over this current deal for $588 (or $470 if it can combine with this coupon in this thread):

Dell Studio XPS 9000
Windows® 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
Intel® Core™ i7-920 processor(8MB L3 Cache, 2.66GHz)
3GB DDR3 Tri-Channel SDRAM at 1066MHz - 3 DIMMs
500GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive
16X DVD+/-RW Drive
ATI Radeon HD 4350 512MB
Integrated 7.1 Channel Audio edit
2Yr Ltd Hardware Warranty, InHome Service after Remote Diagnosis

I've been looking for something very similar and $700ish is about the best I can find.

thanks for the coupon -- last I heard AAFES was limited to military personnel (and authorized civilians), but i'll definitely take advantage

edit: invalid coupon. I'll try again tomorrow (was going to order 3x 27" LG panels for the new system)

Great coupon, to bad AAFES prices are shitty to begin with so 20% off is not that great.

I was looking at the Samsung 46" LCD 1080P LN46B750, it's $1,700 on the aafes website, if you go to pricegrabber.com a bunch of big e-stores are selling it for around $1,350. So even after the 20% off the aafes price of $1,700 plus $75 shipping it came to $1,434.20 still not cheaper then the big e-stores.

What would be a great price though, is if I could get aafes to price match one of those big e-store selling the TV for $1,350 then get 20% off that price. Don't think they price match though.

Where did you find the coupon by the way Ryououki?

No tax on purchases either if you qualify to purchase. Active duty and retired personel qualify.

If this works, thanks a lot. I have a $100 gift card from a TV I purchased a couple weeks ago.

gigahertz20, my dad received an AAFES Exchange holiday catalog when he was shopping at the local base's B&M. It had a little flyer attached to the front of it which stated it was good for use in the catalog and at aafes.com.

It's true that AAFES prices aren't all the best, but the fact that 98% of the items receive free shipping and there is no tax on anything helps make up the difference.

They do pricematch. And you can use the coupon after the pricematch. That's how I scored a panny plasma for an unheard of price a couple black Fridays ago.
The online site will PM with other online sites. The B&M stores will PM with other B&M stores. The 20% off coupon is killer as the limitation are few. Although in fineprint it says that certain name brand products are not included in the promotion, I've had no problem using the coupon on an Apple Ipod Touch and more recently a Bose Quietcomfort 15. And those things are NEVER on sale, anywhere. Then, with no tax and free shipping. THe deals can be had that are on par with some of the better e-tailers.

Okay guys, I just got a frickin awesome deal. I researched a little about AAFES price matching and they do price match to any local retailer in your area and amazon.com as well. Here is their price matching information.

http://www.aafes.com/docs/price.htm

Well, the TV I was looking at, the Samsung 52" LN52B750 which is the highest end Samsung LCD TV and one of the best HDTV's out there, was $1,699.99 at Amazon (The cheapest anywhere online) and AAFES was selling it for $2,199. I called their number to price match it to Amazon, which they did, and then used that promo code to take 20% off the price. It came to $1,260.19 which is an awesome price and no site can beat that. They don't take 20% off the Amazon price, they take 20% off the price they offer and then subtract that from the price match. So 20% of $2,199.00 = $439.80 and the Amazon price is $1,699.99 - $439.80 = $1,260.19 final price that I paid.

What makes it awesome, is that Amazon was already offering the best price anywhere online, no place can beat the Amazon price of $1,700 for this TV. Best deal I have received in a long time, thanks alot OP for that coupon code. Got to tell some military friends about this deal, this price is smoking hot.

Wow, didn't know AAFES did price-matching. Guess I'll be saving even more on the stuff I just bought yesterday. I am e-mailing the catalog customer service to have the price adjusted.

Thanks for the great info guys! And glad the coupon is working out for you as well.

Baaa ... missed out on that. I didn't think to do my shopping on Thanksgiving Day. Do they do these discount coupons often? Will this return for Christmas based on past years?

Looking to pick up a Canon 7D.

Thanks!
