Just start with the URL you got in your email or whatever and start cutting off the end of it. Once you have the least amount of URL information that still gets you to the product, post that URL. That oughta work most of the time for ya. In this case your "extraneous" info was 002-5869408-0416025. My guess is that you clicked through to Amazon from somebody who's using their referral id, so when you pasted the URL to the page you were on, you transferred their referral id. I think it was innocent and it's easy to do, but try to be more careful, because a lot of people around here get pissy about referral codes. The reason is to allow for an environment with more integrity. If you're out to make a buck, you might be trying to sell something that isn't "hot" since you have something to gain by advertisement. We just want genuine hot deals in here.
