Depends on the price point. I don't expect the 6950 (unlockable to a 6970) to drop at all - in fact, I expect its price to rise. It's already happening on the HIS model (for whatever reason). At $300, would you buy an unlockable and overclockable card or just one that overclocks?

6970 might drop or stay the same. The 6850 and 6870 have already reverted to their launch prices for the most part. 570 is already well priced. 580 is unchallenged. I'm not sure what more either side can do, really.

Think I'm going to pass D: .. I DEF need a new eyefinity card, but I think I'll end up with something slightly faster then my 4850 (maybe the 5770 or 6850) and just grab one of those when they are on sale.

Damn, 6850 goes for like 189-150 .....that's basically 200....which is this card...

went from a 4850X2 to this, and its pretty nice. you should be even better off as I had the 2gb version...

In CODBO, you're CPU-limited: http://www.techspot.com/review/336-cod-black-ops-performance/page8.html. A new card won't do much for you.

So your choice whether it's worth it. Honestly, it's probably not.

My buddy has a i7 920 @ 4ghz with a 4890 and he gets way more frames than that test showed in Black Ops so results may vary.
