went to University of New Brunswick last year, T3 Highspeed Internet connection...got download speeds of 2-3MB/sec off the network. My 120 gigger never used anymore than 40 GB at home....it was filled up 3 months later...bought another 80 GB

There sure is a lot of stuff on a school network

I wouldnt of done that Barton Upgrade myself....I would of bought another HD and saved the rest for partying

you know, you really can't call the locks on the cheiftecs/etc a lock at all... anyone can pop their key in and boom, instant access. but unless you have that sucker tied down, if they've gotten that far.. it don't matter

In that case the Barton is a good upgrade. Though I would have recommended some ram that will easily handle synced speeds at 200+ fsb. You can pick up 512mb Buffalo pc3200 on the cheap, that will not break a sweat. If you had a few bucks more to spend you have some nicer choices. Your Mushkin may handle it if you relax the timings some. At 3200+ speeds, your rig will take you through college easily, unless you like to keep cutting edge components in your box.

im pretty sure my mushkin will handle 200 mhz.
