Oh wow, these requirements are insane. But now it looks like the deal is if you spend $299 you get credited back in the first 8-12 weeks a $100 credit, not so bad.

People on SD are reporting that they're getting $200 back from PS3 purchases from Dell (cheaper than through SonyStyle). It seems that the "anything" deal might be in effect. Worst case at this point might be that you have to buy a sony product from a sony authorized dealer.
Several people are now buying non-Sony products from random sellers online. I want to wait until there's some positive reports back from purchases like these before doing my own.
