2000 Chevy Prizm

We're trying to pinpoint the location of the orifice tube in a 2000 Chevy Prizm. Any guidance is appreciated.

Orifice tube?

The tailpipe's in the back, the gas input is on the side.

If you're looking to stuff a dead mouse in the cabin air intake, you'll probably need to look it up in the service manual - every car has that in a different spot.

Orifice tube is related to the AC component. I don't know where it is. Some places has it in the evaporator area, some near the firewall on the engine side. I'm not sure on this car.

I wonder.. Does anyone know if a vehicle, at least in this case is co-developed, does that mean that quality, and reliability are similar to Toyota Corolla as well?

EDIT: Never mind. A google search shows the Prizm is far from a Toyota as expected. Quality and longevity is bad after 100k miles, unlike Toyotas.

WTF are you talking about? They were the same car, built at the same factory, and used the same engine.

Only people that think 1 is more reliable than the other is brand name biased. Just like Consumer reports was caught saying the Corolla was better then the prizm then had to back track after getting called out for it.

Orifice tubes are sometimes in/near the receiver drier.

Why are you asking? Have you taken anything apart yet?

Reliability is basically how long the thing will last until it "breaks". Since the engine is a Toyota, the tranny is too, and so should the ECM.

AC is different, and also the stereo. Given too much differentiation means less taking advantage of economies of scale, things like suspension, brakes, should be the same, although fasteners might be different.
