As some of you might know the fantasy b-ball season is gonna begin in about 2 weeks, but the key to doing well during the season
is by picking up "sleeper" players that are doing well that will help your team. I personally dont mind talking about my league because Im more of a basketball fan than a point hunger fantasy. I enjoy seeing a competitive league with manager interaction.

Thats how it turned out...

My personal recommendations for players that went undrafted in the league Im participating but could be valuable if they are playing well..

In no particular order...

Eric Snow- pg for 76ers, hes a starter hes gonna get pt
Aaron Mckie- sg for 76ers, hes coming off the bench 6th man
Corliss Williamson- 6th man for the pistons
Moochie Norris- comes off the bench for the Rockets some pts reb assists
Derrick Coleman- if hes ever healthy, hes ok and hes playing for a contract
Ricky Davis- iffy but he might turn out ok since the Cavs basically dont have anything and are in the Lebron James sweepstakes
Othella Harrington- underachiever but with basically everyone on the knicks sidelined hes gonna get pt
Corey Maggette- gonna be the first off the bench could be a breakout season
Zydrunas Ilgauskas- forever injured this could be a season where hes healthy, hes a starter
Shawn Kemp- if he gets into shape
Troy Murphy- looks like he's improved, maybe he hasnt? * shurgs*
Jamal Crawford- hes gonna get pt off the bench, blew out his knee last season
Kwame Brown- maybe hes got some kind of offensive move

Rookies- Its so hard to guess nowadays since not too many of them make an impact instantly.. Yao Ming, Caron Butler, Dajuan Wagner and Drew Gooden were the only first rounders to be drafted.

Others that could make an impact..
Mike Dunleavy- hes gonna get pt in Golden state
Jiri Welsch- ditto
Amare Stoudemire- ditto cept hes in Phoenix
Kareem Rush- ditto cept in LA

Thats basically who I see now, but you can never really tell til the season starts...

I'll add more as the season goes on

Im sure other ppl have recommendations too that I havent listed..

This recommendations are just opinion, they are definitely not from a professional, nor do they come from someone moonlighting as David Falk trying to hype his clients up....

GL and HF to everyone this season

Tayshaun Prince. The kid had 7 points in four minutes last night, 3-3 from the field including 1-1 from the arc. he also swatted a shot by Steve Nash. Pick him!

this year seems a pretty good year with rookies and such...especially after a couple dismal rookie classes....

2 years ago i picked ray allen 4th round and dirk nowitzki 7th round...ppl laughed at me...only to see those to go 1 and 2 in the fantasy rankings (for yahoo)
last year i picked paul pierce 2nd round...already a pretty good fantasy player...ppl thought i was over doing by picking him 2nd round (19th pick overall)
i also picked up Redd for the bucks last year....

haha...but i also picked up mihm and glover....so i'm no jerry west...but i guess i get lucky

this year...drew gooden, caron butler, yao ming, nene hilario and wagner looks good...
jay williams missing only because at the sign of struggle jamal crawford's RIGHT THERE behind him...
and dunleavy because GS is pretty versatile and troy murphy's growth at the 4...
as for regular players...richard jefferson....like everyone's saying, i think he can be like a poor man's grant hill in his prime...
darius miles as long as he raises his FT and keeps his FG up...he'll get high teens in points and probably around 9 rebs...
vince carter looks to be back in top form...maybe he'll learn to stop shooting so many 3s...

but with so much injuries and wishy-washy coaches you never know what'll happen...

and i can be completely wrong........

Since both AT leagues have drafted already I don't mind saying my sleeper list
I base my sleepers on someone who will be drafted in the middle rounds (6 or after) but will perform like a player higher than where they were picked.

My 3 favorite picks first, after that in no particular order (some have been said already):

Darius Miles
Jason Richardson
Richard Jefferson
Juwan Howard
Jamaal Magloire
Gilbert Arenas
Chauncey Billups
Desmond Mason

what about Yao Ming? He was down at 300 but was drafted in both AT leagues.

I don't think Yao Ming will have that big of an impact this season. In a couple of seasons though he might turn out to be a Chinese Nowitzki.

If he can average 10 pts, 7-8 rebs, 1.5-2 blks, I'd take him

"Amare Stoudemire- ditto cept hes in Phoenix"

I've seen this kid play in person - he's gonna be a Garnett/young, pre-cocaine & Popeye's Kemp in 2 years.

regarding the original post I can't believe ricky davis is on waivers...the guy was taken in the 5th rnd of the espn mock draft...furthermore, that guy's got mad skillz and finally the opportunity to showcase them in Cle.

basketball's different from other fantasy sports in that there really aren't as many sleepers...good players with good opportunities tend to perform...that's why jason richardson was taken high in many drafts...jason richardson is a sleeper to no one...

i picked up kwame brown tonight off waivers because i didn't know he was gonna get significant minutes.

my contribution? if he's available, get him...keon clark...the man only plays 20 so minutes and gets crazy blocks.
