Got mine a couple of days ago, and while I am slightly in the market to purchase an Expedition, I think I will wait until next year.

I signed up for the brochure hoping to get the test drive offer. Instead, just yesterday, I got a letter from a local dealer saying that they knew I'd indicated I was interested in purchasing an Explorer and offering financing options. The only enclosure was a business card. :disgust:

Here's a weird occurance. I ordered the 2003 brochure for my father and one for me. He received a test drive postcard which has the $75 debit card. I received a test drive postcard with a $50 debit card. Wonder why he got the $75 and I got the $50? He drives an SUV , go figure......I bought it for him.....
Actually, that isn't such an odd occurance. I own a '98 Ford ZX2 and only received the $50 offer with my package. I then resubmitted a request for another package for myself and my wife - but, listed different vehicles and the package came back with the offer for $75 debit cards.

On another note, I'm glad to see that at least one person has received their debit card from Ford. Thanks, MJGunn for sharing the details with us!

Mailed in the completed TD poscard on 8/30/02. Received the $75 Ford/MC card today, 9/24/02.

Pretty fast turnaround!

I requested two brochures about 3 weeks ago. They both came, both with $75 offers.

I've been considering the Expedition. Its huge, but we need something bigger than our 9 year old Explorer for two kids, two strollers, and a 100lb dog.

Took RossMans advise and said "I'm not able to afford one of these but I sure would appreciate your signature on this". Guy says; "What is this? I'd better go ask my manager!" So I say... alright, I'll drive it. Geez.
Just my luck. I wonder if it was the earring or my beard?

That bites, sorry to hear that. My technique has always worked for me (and whoever else is with me).

Oh well you're still getting free $75 for a few minutes of your time.

I asked the dealer(who is a friend of my brother) if he would give me the code and I would forge his signature. He said Ford keeps signatures on file(his is hard to duplicate) so he would have to sign it for me. Nonetheless, after he signs I should have $75 on the way. Thx for the deal.

Yeah that's right, FORD corporate, and the outside fullfillment house hired to handle the promotion, keeps records of all the signatures of all the thousands of employees, including the sales dudes whos jobs are like a revolving door.

P.S. Keep posting like you are doing, I'm sure none of these companies read the message boards on the internet, so people like you will never ruin it for everyone else.

BigEd--listen Wiseguy-I'm just telling you what the Dealer--not some sales drone told me. And if you are worrying about ruining the deal you need to re-read the thread because the people that are going to ruin it are the ones trying to get multiple certificates.

Is this dead? The link in the first post doesn't have a drop down box anymore, you can either d/l a .pdf or have brochures mailed to you (but you can't specify which vehicles?)

Wanted to order another for my wife and I, they'd have to go to a different address though.

JHawk -listen Mr. Gullible- With Car Dealers, sales prostitutes, or the dealer (madam) him/herself.....you have to be like John Wanamaker and "Believe nothing of what you hear and only 1/2 of what you see" Do you really think that the guy who owns a dealership or two is 100% on the up and up and only the "sales drones" as you put it are the lying, deceptive ones? These are the same folks who tell you that if you didn't or don't buy your vehicle from their dealership, their service departmant won't be as apt to give you the "kind of service" that someone who did buy his/her car from them will get. When several dealers told me this, I told them I bought my car in CA before I got transferred to the East Coast.....do you expect me to drive it across country to get it serviced? All I'm saying is that the dealer by telling you that sounds like a bigger moron then his employees. The only difference is he is King of the morons.... Oh by the way, a dealer told me that not only do they check signatures but they make you take a polygraph test too, just in case....
