got my card in the mail last week. Thanks for the hot deal.

I never drove an expedition but I did test drive a f250 and 2 f350's I told the salesman upfront that I wanted a truck not an SUV. He was happy to fill it out for me anyway.

RTFM - Seriously, read the fine print on the enclosed form that came with your card. The card is pre-loaded for $75.00, which I think you can over-charge on. However, I wouldn't do it - just keep it at $75.00 and toss it in the trash when you're done! If you're going to purchase something on-line, there is usually a comments section where you can specify "only apply $75 to card xxxx and then the remaining balance of your purchase to card yyyy."

You cannot charge it more than $75. read the paper. it says if you charge more than the balance your purhcase will be declined. How can you be confused ?!

btw if you dont have a debit card you can keep this and add more money. you have to use your direct deposit. too bad my employer does not offer it. I wish they took the pay checks

say you used this card when it only had a few dollars left to get gas. If you were to go over the balance the pump probably wouldn't stop. what would happen then?

When you use it at the pump, they usually try to authorize it for some large amount($50 or $100) to make sure the card is good.

If you try to use it at gas pump, its authorization fails and gets declined. I tried it when I had full $75 on it and still it didn't work.

At first read I thought you meant you had pumped $75 worth of gas in your tank before trying to pay. First thought in my head was "I guess you _already_ own an Expedition...."

I got mine last week, too, How sweet it is! Did the test drive and the Expedition is awesome, but not as much as the $75.

It's because gas stations pre-authorize about $100.00. They do this because they don't know how much you are actually going to spend and they want to be sure they can get their money from the credit card.

Would never buy a Ford, but will gladly accept their generous $75. Got the card afew weeks ago, and a new Toyota Tundra on Halloween night.

It's also not a good idea to use this at a restaurant (whether it be casual or formal dining) or car rental/hotel.

The best use is at a grocery store, or department store like Walmart, etc.

Finally went to do my test drive a couple days ago - the guy didn't even make me drive. I told him I was only there to get the card signed (hey, I've got a wife in med school, we've got enough debt already!!!) so he just signed and out I went. 5 min = $75. I like

haha... yea... went in the other day... walked up to a salesman... and said... "hey.. I know you value your time since you're on commission... I value my time too... so if it's not too much trouble, if you could just sign this we can get on with both our lives"... he took the card... read it... signed it... and told me to get the rest of the info from the receptionist inside.... all smiles... in and out in a few minutes... now I just have to wait...

hmm... what do I need to buy?

We tested drive on Nov 7, and we got it on Nov 18. Lucky us. I think they just began to process not long ago, ours must be on the top of pile.

all you guys who filled out more than one should be ashamed of yourselves.

ford is a company with a rich history of giving back to America, and as strongly as i feel about corporate abuse, it almost peeves me to see that so many people went to such great lengths to defraud the company. multiple cards, forged cards, it's really quite dishonest.

but i guess that is just the way of man.

I'll try and remember your words the next time I have a complaint about a problem with my Ford and the "corporate customer service" folks keep whipping me back to the morons at the dealership I am having the problems with. Ford doesnt think twice about ignoring or screwing their customers so a little turn-about-fairplay does not bother my sense of morals in the least. Remember your bible, "a tooth for a tooth"

Why is it when a company screws a customer it's business, but if a customer pulls one over on the company it's "fraud"?

I used mine to purchase a $75 store GC so I wouldnt have to worry about holding up a line if it didnt work in the future.

THIS JUST IN - NEWS FLASH:

Ford supported Hitler and the Nazis up until the US officially got into the war, and even afterwards Ford was a huge sympathizer.

What else did they give back or should I say cover up? Humm, the Pinto which blew up in rear impact collisions and the Bronco II which to this day is still the king of rollovers.

Lets hope Ford doesn't give us back anything else!!!

Yeah, and my 88 bronco II has 204,000+ miles on it and is still going. Better than the energizer bunny.
