Another Cuse Fan here! I live in Virginia now but Syracuse is my home town Watch out for Syracuse! They can be scary. I was at the Dome when they wiped the floor with Georgia Tech, not a top team, but 'Cuse was beating them by 43 at one point nevertheless. A big road win this past weekend versus Michigan St, an extremely tough place to play showed their tremendous confidence and poise for such a young team. Anthony is arguably the best college player in the country as a freshman. When he is hitting from the outside, he is unstoppable. Warrick has been HUGE, no one saw this kind of improvement coming from him but he is getting to be a sweet player. If Gmac is hitting threes, the other team doesn't have much of a chance. Duany is a great senior leader and Edelin is starting to show some nice penetration skills now that he is back. This team is so fun to watch! They should have a shot this year but if Anthony comes back next year with their 3 blue chip recruits coming in next year, they'll be Top 10 easy next year.

I believe some regional East games are being help in Albany this year! If Cuse is a 2 or 3 in the east, they could end up playing there.

Another one here that likes SU. I shouldn't like their chances, what with their lack of experience, but they are good. I saw them beat Pitt a couple of months ago, and they've been winning pretty consistently all along, so it wouldn't shock me at all. I'm really pulling for ND though as a fan.

Terps came back big tonite baby!!! If they make it past the Sweet 16, they're gonna make it 3 straight Final Four's and back-to-back national championships!!!

Well, Final Four is possible, but gotta be realistic here. I'm picking Kentucky and SU in the final, with Kentucky winning. Arizona and Kansas both lose in the Round of 32. Roy will cry early and often....again. Lute only takes his team into the Final Four when they are a low-seed and underachieving all year long; they've been way too consistent this year. Texas isn't ready for prime time (maybe if Ford stays for his Jr. year they'll make it), though OU has a chance with Hollis Price.

I also like Marquette out of CUSA this year, Wade is one of the few dominating players in the college game playing for a contender. Other than Carmelo of course, which is why I like SU more and more every game. Tournament runs are all about outstanding individual performances, I've got 25-1 odds at the Mirage saying SU wins b/c Anthony has 1 great run before the NBA.

Ok....this may sound a bit strange but......I think the key to Kentucky going far in the tournament is for them to get beat sometime before the SEC tourney or at least IN the SEC tourney. Now.....since I'm from Kentucky, I'll explain my reasoning. I agree that Kentucky is playing VERY good right now. They have an awesome defense, no doubt about it. The problem is that I'm afraid they will get complacent and come out flat and not play well once they get into the tournament. A loss can sometimes help bring you back down to earth and give you a good wakeup call. I seriously think that they will need this around tournament time to keep them focused on what's going on and where they want to go. I seriously don't think that Kentucky would've won the national championship in '98(I think that was the year) had they not lost to Mississippi State in the finals of the SEC tourney. That was the wakeup call that they needed and it kept them focused and playing hard for the rest of the tournament. I think that it will be important for this to happen to them again this year. Don't get me wrong, I like my 'Cats but I just think that it needs to happen to ensure that they go as far as possible.

I would wager that Arizona (if they can get to the sweet 16) and Kentucky will be playing in the final.

I think the Big East teams will fall in the early rounds this year.

I don't know if I'm going to have Arizona and Kentucky in my final game on the office pool (depends on how the brackets are setup) but barring any potentially huge stumbling blocks I definitely see them in the Final Four. From an SEC viewer's prospective, one potential upset I can see happening would be Florida (a possible #1 seed or #2 at the absolute worst) getting knocked off in the second round. I don't say that due to any animosity or disrespect. I love their program. They're just SO heavily dependent upon the perimeter shooting that I don't see them making it very far should their shooting let down for one night (granted it's only done that about 4 times all season.) Another SEC team that might 'surprise' a lot of people would be Mississippi State. I can very easily see them making it to the Elite 8 and maybe even a little beyond with the right bracketing.
