Parrotheader: The Gators have a great team with lots of talent, and Donovan is a good coach. There was talk of him coming into Lexington should Coach Smith ever leave. UK plays down in Gainesville next weekend for the final game of the SEC regular season. That one there looks to be a classic matchup. UF has the chance to stop UK from "running the table" in SEC play this year.

If UK gets by Vandy on Wednesday in Lex, they win the SEC regular season title.

After the thrashing at the hands of the Cards in December, I certainly did not think the Wildcats would have played as extraordinary as they have. But, WOW, the Cats are for real this year. Some games Estill steps up while Fitch and Bogans play well in others. Chuck Hayes has been very consistent this season. And Erik Daniels has really brought his game to another level. Cliff Hawkins brings tremendous energy off the bench.

Based on the previous three seasons, I would have thought the Cats would have lost 7-8 games at this point in the season.

they had it together the whole time... the loss to louisville was planned, tubby just wanted to make it all dramatic! he knew they would have the longest win streak, then lose, then have KY take over the longest win streak! hehe sad thing is some fans really are bad enough to think stuff like that

Go Illini! The BigTen's going to show why it should be regarded even more as a great conference.

You know, the 2nd half score during today's game against UGA, with the exception of the UT game in Knoxville, was the closest it has been during SEC play. Lot's of fouls called though. But the Cats stepped up and hit the ones that counted.

In some respects, this team reminds me a little of the '98 team minus Cameron Mills, Jeff Sheppard and Scott Padgett. Jules Camara blocks almost like Magliore did back then. Estill, minus the fouls, plays a lot like Nazr Mohammed. Just great all around team ball.

And you are right about some fans going a little overboard.

UNC beats J. Crew U (Wake Forest) followed by Deep South Rutgers (Duke) to avoid the notorious Les Robinson Invitational (ACC play-in game). As the 5 seed we beat NC State, then Wake again followed by turtle soup for the ACC title. The 20-13 Heels get a 6 seed in the East and then leave death, destruction, and a flurry of clanked 3-pointers in their wake as they march to Bourbon Street. On April 7th, the ACC claims its 3rd consecutive title . . . "We shocked the world, " exclaims Final Four MVP Sean May.

. . . damn where's my medication . . .

Dang, I remember that game as if it was yesterday. You have to admit, if it wasn't for Bibby and few Kentucky silly mistakes, the outcome would be different.

EDIT: if yer from KY and post after this, sorry if i don't keep editing it!
I'm here, posting from Haggin Hall on campus.

I'm probably the biggest UK fan you'll find at my age, I'm a human stat book my friends say .

GO BIG BLUE!

bah you're staying at a crappy residence hall... when i went there i stayed in blanding tower... 22 total floors of residents, 7 floors of males and 15 floor of females! those were the days indeed

No kidding, right? I didn't even list it as top thee on the residency applicaiton, Patterson, Keenland and Blanding/Kirwin were my first three choices and I got neither. Dorms are overcrowded this year.

Good thing I'm moving off campus in May.

Arizona, Kentucky, Maryland, and "who cares it does not matter you will not win"

my guess would be Syracuse or Illinois.

I think the ACC will surprise people, would not be too surprised if Riddick got hot and Duke made it to the final four. Whenever you see this much parity in a conference the competition only makes you stronger...
UNC beating UConn....
Florida State beating Duke...again
both Maryland and Duke destroying the conference leader Wake Forest.

Dude, Redick doesn't even shoot 42% from the arc and any team with a decent athlete can put the clamp on his jumper. Jones is the only real weapon at Duke and he NEVER passes the ball.

Kansas, Stanford, AND UConn have Ls courtesy of UNC . . . and in 6 days WFU and Duke will join the party.

And UNC will have to wait 2 months to see May in Chapel Hill I sure hope he leaves, McCants goes pro, and Doherty stays.

'Cuse is in da house, Oh My God, Oh My God, 'Cuse is in da house, Oh My God!

On a side note, the ACC is the most overrated conference this year. I would not be surprised to see all ACC teams out of the tourney by the Sweet 16 and Dickie V will be crying because his beloved Dukies are out of it.

I'm not dreaming . . . I can't find my medication. The voices keep saying Wake can be beat and Duke can be embarassed. Felton is nutured by his mentor (Phil Ford), Manuel discovers dribbling without staring at the floor, McCants gets a mood stabilizer, Williams stops imitating Shavlik Randolph, and Doherty learns how to coach. Everything except Doherty developing coaching skills is realistic. The Heels pull a Cardiac Pack-like ACC tourney and squeeze 4 victories from suffocating defense and reasonable shot selection. On April 5th, Sean May returns to the lineup and abuses 'zona followed by skinning the kitty that embarassed us earlier in the year (Tubby's boys).

Well, your manic now...and you'll be depressive after Wednesday. Congrats, you have McCant's disease!

I heard May's not returning this season...

May isn't coming back in March . . . but he's going to be a beast in April. As for the rumor mongerers talking about mass transfers . . . none of the players are leaving . . . as for the coach . . .

It's gotta be Kentucky. Smothering D and a good O to go with it. They've just blown through teams lately.

I'm starting to feel sorry for Vandy. Kentucky has already beat them 3 times this season. By 62 points, nonetheless, last week. Then by 18 this week. The lead was only cut to 18 because Tubby had to send the scrubs in with about 10 minutes to play!
