As this is a wish list, I'm not refraining myself on anything:

6. 19" LCD(<18ms latency)

I guess I just don't care if I get a -/+ all in one DVD burner, because it seems that all I'd buy would be DVD-R blanks anyway. I guess the +R support would be nice, but I doubt I'd be willing to pay much more for it. It's not a must have feature. DVD-R support is definetly a must.

What upgrades am I going to get next year? I don't really have any idea what's going to be out then, aside from what little I've picked up from processor roadmaps, but for this year, I plan to pick up a low-cost Athlon XP soon to upgrade from my current 800MHz Duron. Then, I'll likely wait a while and upgrade my hard disks later in the year. Depending on how much money I have, and what the options are at that time, I may choose some high capacity IDE drives, or (unlikely) even a SCSI RAID setup.

I'm dying to get ahold of an AMD Barton chip and some Mushkin PC3200 for my main rig. If I can afford it I'll also get the budget model of the GeForce FX.

I just hope I can use those items on my Epox 8K3A+.

Voice of reasons tells me not part with lots of hard earned cash only to be beta tester -- but two temptations will be hard to resist:

A Hammer based system -- and this neat little toy. Good thing there's the girlfriend to talk some sense back into me .
