Thats what you think. Last speeding ticket he got was 40 over on the highway. Thats when Mrs. Copilot wasn't paying attention of course.

Now I'm officially worried :Q

Typically it's dangerous for people that old to be driving... I'm sure you've witnessed this first hand, just like everyone else.

Yeah and you can die crossing the street. Whats your point?
His point is, the person dying crossing the street was probably hit by an old fart who shouldn't be driving.

Yeah but the old fart driving doesn't get hurt, so whats your point?

lol, wtf. This thread just a big pot of flame bait or are you really that ignorant?

/me takes bait...

Hey if the law allows it, and the man still wants to drive. Then let him drive. Who are you to judge?

I never said he shouldn't drive, some older people are great drivers...unfortunetly that is the exception to the rule. If someone feels confortable enough to put peoples lives in danger b/c of their pride...that gives anyone the right to judge them. Since we don't know how well your grandfather drives, these people here shouldn't judge him yet.

You're wrong.

My uncles 70 year old father in law, has one, acutally. Your right, its much safer. Old people have more brittle bones, and bruise easier.

im a big fan of maxima's cause i own one. but the tl's are HOT.
however, for your gramps, you need something less bold, cause he's OLD. what about a nice, respectable bimmer or benz? i would say an old 5 series is in order.

I don't really like the new maximas, the previous 2 generations were the best looking. I'd go with the TL

The Nissan Maxima is not even in the same league as the Acura TL.

There pretty close in price range. About 3-4k difference with all the features comparable.

That may be, but there is a league of difference in the refinement and quality of the products.

I also agree that for a 76 year old man...He'd probably like a Toyota Avalon a lot more than either of the cars you have listed.

Both of them are very good cars. For once I can say that. Just seems like most of these "Which car" threads have horrid choices. If it were me and I wanted to spend the extra money, I would get the TL because they've done quite a few things new to it this year. But I think its going to cost a premium over the Maxima.

Just drive them both and whichever you fall in love with first, buy.
