I was talking about presentations, not acceptance speeches. algore presented earlier

DiCaprio pushed that more than Al Gore, didn't he? I would agree with you on that point, but either way I don't see how one or two moments in a 4 hour show would bother someone so much. The rest of the show is very amusing, IMO.

not sure how it bothers anyone beyond a point of simple observation. especially you, since you agree with me. if anything, seinfeld overshadowed any point algore hoped to make. let's move on to some of the other more entertaining points of the show, no need to dwell on this.

I enjoyed it as well. I think there is merit to the best song thing, because that particular song wasn't as good as the dreamgirls ones. It didn't win because of some agenda though, just because the dreamgirls songs stole votes from each other.

A lot of people have been saying this for a while. A couple of the Dreamgirls songs were clearly better songs than the Inconvenient truth song, and they likely stole votes from each other. I don't think that's a poor assumption at all.
