2007 Acura TL - how reliable?

I've driven a 99 version of the TL in Japan. In Japan it's called Honda inspire. It's an absolutely awesome ride and a great car. Very reliable and extremely roomy.

I'm guessing they've probably made leaps and bounds since then. Probably still worth checking out.

I have a 2006 TL. The only problems I've had were 2 window lifts failing. Also, you can do better than that on price. I bought my 2006 back in 2008, it had 15k miles on it, and out the door was $26k.

I looked heavily into 05-07 TLs when I was car shopping and ended up with a 06' Lexus IS 250 (which I sold for a IS350)... The TL and the IS350 were close on my list but I just felt the fit/finish of the IS3 was better... paid 16k for my IS350 fully loaded with 50k miles

For that money, I'd shop around for a new/newer car. The car depreciated, 30% in 6 years?

I would never buy new... otherwise you're the guy taking the 30%+ hit... let someone else break it in a bit and lose the money.
My IS3 was 4 years old when I bought it and 1/3 of the sticker price. I would have been pissed paying 45k for a car to only get 16k a few years later... I've since listed my car for 1k more than I paid (did add rims to it) and have had calls/texts like crazy.
Buying new is tough unless for me because I like to mix it up every few years and don't plan to own it for a very very very long time.

Best price i could find was a 2007 TL with 50k for 22k out the door. I live in Los Angeles, not sure if prices are inflated over here.

Used car prices in generally are high these days. Reduced inventory due to people keeping their cars longer.

The 07 will be very reliable as long as you change the transmission fluid frequently. The 06-07 base models had slightly softened suspension damper assemblies to make them more comfortable and differentiate them from the Type-S.

Is there a better buy for a 20k price range?

I really liked the TL. If we didn't end up getting a CPO RDX, I would have gotten one.

about 2 months ago.. i picked up a 2009 TL w/tech package, 39k miles for 25,250.

I really, really like it.

My only semi-complaint is that the ride is stiff - not a luxury feel, but very sporty instead. I'm OK with that, but the wife doesn't appreciate the handling
