I thought you lived in San Diego? If that is the case, I can't see why you would buy a MT daily driver.

no reason not to

I guess if your job keeps you off I-15 or I-15, or you happen to drive the opposite way during rush "hour".

live and work right off the I-5. I could never buy an auto.

meh, I could never buy a mt. At least inland, the I-15 is a mess starting around 2:30/3pm through 7pm. Everytime I venture to the coast, the I-5 seems to be about the same. I don't go that often during the 3-7 slot though. Although, once this construction is complete, might make it ok.

where do you live?

traffic is hardly a deterrent. Driving an auto is a horrid experience for me

Seriously... I-5 is never THAT bad... I work in Miramar and live downtown, traffic has never been a problem. I might be delayed 10 minutes driving home if there's a ball game going on, but nothing too bad.

It starts with T and rhymes with FRAFFIC.

I live in San Diego... traffic is not that bad. I drive a manual car here and love it.

It's a good a choice, this was my 2nd choice after test driving, TL, IS350, G35, A4, and the 335i.

I ended up with the 335i, but that is really in another price bracket by itself. So if you are looking for a well equipped sport sedan for under 40k, G35 it is. You can almost max out every option and be still under 40k, which is just awesome value.

Looks pretty good. The only other comparable car that I would suggest is the BMW 328xi because it's only $2K more and comes with AWD.

I don't like BMW. The interiors seem so archaic to me. Plus they're more $ and slower.

AGREED!

I5 is better then I15, but you're also going the other way from traffic. In the morning you're coming north, and in the evening you're going south....of course you don't see that much traffic.
