tied with 2 outs and a runner on second. trevor comes out, cla meredith in and gives the padres a scoreless inning while they get another clutch hit and move onto the nlcs.Originally posted by: OdiN
Even if he didn't, the game was still tied at that point, and they probably would have won it the next inning.Originally posted by: anxi80
im still waiting for holliday to tag home plate!
and for anyone telling me to get over it, the way the phillies and d-backs rolled over san diego could've been in the dance and had the pitching to actually show up! but if theres a team i want to win, i hope its colorado because im still a little bitter over being called the nl worst a couple of seasons back. yeah, i hold grudges.
and june this year. interleague play.Originally posted by: chuckywang

I have a question: if Cleveland wins their championship, will anyone even end up watching this year's World Series? It seems like neither the East Coast nor the West Coast will watch the series, given that they don't have teams from their locations playing.

Cle v Col.. If thats how it ends up, I would have to say the execs at FOX cant be too happy about that..
STL v DET last year... This year will even out-low those ratings...

I hear the weather may be an issue tonight. Weather.com has a 30% chance of rain. Anyone in cleveland here who can shed some light on the weather? If the game is called that means Beckett can pitch tomorrow and a potential game 7. That would be huge for the Red Sox. I'm sure Wedge is praying to the gods that the weather is perfect tonight.

Prayers can't save Boston now, Rockies/Tribe WS.

Open Letter to all those living in Boston/NY: the rest of the country doesn't give a rat's ass about your teams. Thank god we have a chance of seeing someone else, perhaps more interesting play for a title.

It's still the WS. Why wouldn't you watch it - especially with the caliber of teams that will be in it - it's sure to be a great series, no matter who wins.
I'm a fan of neither, in fact I generally don't watch baseball at all. However when I was flipping through the channels last night I stopped on the Boston/Cleveland game where they were talking about the World Series. It just seems to me that there are a lot of markets that are not going to be watching the World Series given the cities participating.Originally posted by: Alistar7
Yawn at all the closet Yank/Sox fans trying to denigrate any WS when they are not a participant. Not interested, why are you reading and posting in this thread?

Yes TBS had very low ratings for a LCS (Rockies vs Diamondbacks) in quite some while (average of 2.8) while the previous low was 6.2. A 2.8 is pretty bad...

I have decided.
Today I took Monday off, and I am going to buy World Series tickets.
I mean....how often does the World Series come right straight to you?
