I would rather drive the US Accord sedan. Roomier, cheaper, and looks better than the European one (TSX).
Although I do give Acura credit for not putting a 6 cylinder engine in every car they make like Lexus and Infiniti. I think luxury car makers need more economical cars like TSX and A3.
There are a lot of people who don't really care about smoking each other at stop lights, and just want adequate power with good handling and fuel economy.

I actually have a 2003 Accord, just paid it off. Now the wife wants to drive, so she is going to need a car. She will be happy and content with the Accord, and I can get something else for me. I had an Acura TL in the past, and that car was very nice. I'm not one that has to have tons of power, just more than the 140-170HP standard stuff on the road, and I want decent gas mileage. Yeah, Gas prices are backing off now, but I don't believe that they are going to stay down.

Well, you can get I4 Accord with same 2.4L engine that is bigger and better looking, IMO, and gets slightly better mileage on regular than than TSX does on premium, for a lot less money.

I am not one to be put off by a car's looks. I currently drive a 2006 BMW 330i, and have also owned a 2001 Maxima, a 1999 Integra GS-R, a 1998 Accord EX V6, a 1984 Accord, and a 1984 Toyota SR5 wagon. None were what I'd call beautiful cars by any means. All of that being said, this thing is F-U-G-L-Y with a capital "F." It is so ugly that it would deter me from buying one. I'd need a seeing eye dog and a blindfold to find my parking space everytime I parked it so I didn't inadvertently look at it from the outside. I find it very hard to understand why anyone should or would buy this monstrosity over any number of other cars, particularly a recent used 3 series, G35, TL, A4, TSX, IS, etc.

I wouldn't buy a Honda.

cause you hate great engines?

i wouldn't go so far as to cal Honda as 'Great' engines... The Lotus, (now that is a great engine) I would call them above average, esp for the price... And that is why i like them for the price... I really like the the TSX for the price.

But the Lotus is using a Toyota engine
A lot of people, including me, dislike that new "signature look" (ie: ugly front grille) that Acura has been putting on all their new cars.
Otherwise it's a nice little car (european honda accord).

I was ganna tell him the same thing......

i don't think the new tsx looks that much different than the last gen except its a little bigger with a ugly grill that can probably be replaced by aftermarket parts

The engine in the Lotus Elise and Exige is from the discontinued Toyota Corolla XRS. Nothing wrong with it in particular, but it isn't considered to be as nice as the engine in the cheaper S2000.

Anyway, the TSX is a nice enough car, but you might also like not having car payments for a few more years first.

haha was about to post the same unfavorable review...

I'd go for a '08 or gently used CPO TSX instead
