I'll assume this is the replacement for the Pacifica.

With 3-rows of seats it outclasses the CRV, Escape, Equinox & CX7. Will compete with the Santa Fe, Rav4, Outlander, and XL7.

Doesnt look half bad. A little plain but not obnoxious or offensive like the Caliber and Nitro and nice, thoughtful touches in the whole interior storage space maximization.

The SUVish styling will make this minivan an easier sell to parents who don't want to look like they have kids and should actually just be buying a minivan instead.

..looks good. The bumper isn't as bulbous as previous dodge models.

Hey apologies for the bump, but this car is a really good looking deal.

How does it match up with the Ford Flex though, or the CX9?

Interior looks very plasticky and center console is way overloaded with small buttons...

Don't Chrysler/Dodge have the worst overall quality/fit and finish of all the American manufacturers these days? I mean, there had to be a reason Mercedes ended their collaboration with Chrysler, right?

I sat in one at the Cleveland auto show. I didn't like the interior design and materials at all.

Agreed on the exterior. Looks good for it's market. Won't wow anybody though.

The pacifica was the only halfway redeemable vehicle they had as far as interior quality. I don't think they marketed it very well so it didn't sell, but it had no competition and was pretty decent. Now they are competing against competent, well established models and are going to look even more like a second rate maker.

Thats what a few people I've talked to say. They might not be impressed with the shots online, but on the road it looks pretty good.

Its like the reverse myspace pic effect.

I dont like the placement of the gear shifter, i would think it would get in the way of my arm resting there

I don't think it would get in the way... sitting in one is always different from a picture you see.

See the thing that is saving the Journey is the fact that its a bargain compared to the other similar crossovers. Also, you're not purchasing one of these anyway for its amazing interior. Its something to think about...

What are your thoughts on the CX9?

My friend use to work for a company that supplied seats to all the American car companies. Ford and GM had various requirements on fit and quality. Dodge/Chrysler was only had one requirement: as cheap as possible.
