The problem with that is that he's occasionally right.

I want the Lakers to win too but even I cringed at several of those calls.

Orlando blew it in OT, Lakers were far more clutch (actually making free throws).

This wasn't a good win though.

Bad officiating =/= Lakers conspiracy.

Bad officiating = bad officiating.

Besides, if the league were conspiring, do you really think Orlando would be in the finals? Better yet, if the Lakers were conspiring, do you really think they would have lost in the finals last year?

What's crazy is that I hear some fans wanting the Lakers to lose 2 in Orlando so that "we can win it in LA".

:disgust:

Fucking idiots.

Can you bold where I typed "conspiracy" in my post? I can't find it.

Not you, Phokus. You agreed with him, no?

EDIT: I take it back, you didn't agree with him. More like admitted he's right sometimes. Except that he's not right about this at all. There is no conspiracy. *Puts foil hat on*

I'm just going to ignore all these other "posts" and say that tonight is obviously a must win for Magic. If they don't win tonight then it's over. Howard needs to be the superstar he is tonight. He's just been playing horrible.

Pulling for Magic tonight, yeah Howard definitely needs to play better. He's not going up against Varejao, Big Z and Big Ben anymore. He's got to go up against long/athletic players, his ugly running hooks aren't going to work anymore. At most he's been a good passer out of double teams, but Lakers seem to rotate pretty well on D.

Magic were screwed when Lee couldn't make that easy layup with the perfect inbound pass at the end of regulation in game 2. I don't see how Magic can come back unless Pow breaks his leg, Kobe goes into ball hog mode for the rest of the series, and Odom goes on DL due to sugar coma from eating too much candy.

Based on the Lakers' tendency during the regular season and playoffs of getting complacent, I expect them to lose, as well. But then again, they surprised everyone by closing Denver out in game 6.

Anybody else notice that this series seems to be lacking the sort of intensity we've seen in the playoffs? Seems like LAL-HOU, LAL-DEN, ORL-BOS, and ORL-CLE all had more intensity, more chippiness, more physicality. Meh, just an observation.

The Magic need to win 2 out of 3 to have any hope whatsoever. Ideally they'd win all 3 at home but the way they've been playing, that's not likely to happen.

I could bitch about the refs in game 2 if the Magic didn't take so many bad shots, make a lot of stupid mistakes, miss some wide open shots (*cough* JJ Redick *cough), miss a bunch of free throws (2 in a row, Jameer?) and miss two relatively easy shots by Courtney Lee right at the end. Orlando had ample opportunity. I do think the refs need to regurgitate the whistle on Ariza vs. Turk though. Ariza was absolutely raping Turk going down the floor. If someone on Orlando did that same thing to Kobe they'd be fouled out in 6 plays.

Duh... if they win 1 out of 3, the Lakers win the series by definition of having collected 4 victories.

Lakers by 4. Phil Jackson teams know how to bring the necessary high-energy effort to away games.

I think it's good for the Magic that this is still the 1st quarter, Bryant is going nuts, and they are only down by 4.

Sure what he's doing is amazing, but the Lakers play better when he is not going batshit crazy. When he fades in the 3rd, the rest of the Lakers are going to be out of sync.

We'll see...

This game's effing ridiculous. Both teams are making pretty much every shot. Magic with 77% FG percentage! Lakers with 55%.
