Eh, all the Laker homers are out - it's fun. Like shooting fish in a barrel because they get their feathers all ruffled up. You should see them in San Antonio, they run away like bitches when you talk about what Bowen does to Kobe.

edit: See what I mean, dbk? I pulled 3 of em out right there ...

I don't even like the Lakers. I just call it how I see it. You seriosuly need to chill. SERENITY NOW!!!!!!!

Pietrus should be suspended 1 game for a flagrant 2...two closed fists hard against Gasol's back.

I'm actually a Knicks fan, I just can't stand it when unnecessary, unsportsmanlike plays like that happen. And to agree with it?
The Magic clearly thought they were still in the game as they were closing in to commit an intentional foul. This attitude can't be changed within a second or two - the Lakers are already doing their best to get the ball up the floor, and Pau had a wide open one-footer that he decided to drain. You simply don't hit somebody that hard when they're in the air like that, I don't care if they have a history of floppage or not.

um.. no dude, the Magic knew it was over by then... Pietrius knew what he was doing...

I'm saying the same thing about the dunk. It's like in baseball when the runner on second tips the batter. It's unprofessional and will get you hit by the pitcher. There's sports ethics - when the win is in the bag (5 points, with 3 seconds left), you don't dunk it. If you're a center, shoot the 3 off base - cause it's funny. At that point, no one would care - but this was just an insult, and very unnecessary.

Gasol should've stepped away and get a 24-sec violation.
Lakers didn't win this game. The magic lost it in 4th when Dwight missed 2 free throws for fisher to tie the game. End of story.

Definitely a Flagrant on Peaches 'n' Cream. No need for that.

Game is over though so it doesn't matter.

Fuck that. Gasol should NOT have dunked it like that with 3 seconds left, they had the fucking lead. Pietrus should have broken the fuckers back for all I care, it's plain insulting. I had a lot of respect for Gasol, sticking through the crap in Memphis - and he pissed away with that insulting dunk.

And that Kobe elbow to the head should have been a Flag2 with an automatic ejection. That's bullshit and the fucker gets away with it all the time.
Say what?? They got the call right.

What's it like having your head up your ass like that dumbfuck? While the call was right, WHERE'S THE FUCKING FLAG2 ON KOBE? HUH? GIVE ME SOME CONSISTENCY IN THE CALLS.

Fuck you, Gasol should have had his back broke.

Nice coming from an idiot who wants consistency in the calls. Take a look at foul shots taken in the 4th and OT.

That would be because of the aggressive play on the inside by Howard. If you watched, you noticed that Kobe was taking most of the shots, and actually not being particularly aggresive. Pau mostly hit open shots instead of going in trying to pull fouls.

Stat sheet might look lopsided, but it wasn't if you watched.

There was a lot of contact on several drives for both sides, a lot of which wasn't called - and for the Lakers, none of it was called. I'm sure the Magic would have ended up with more FTA over that span because of Howard alone, but 0 FT's is a joke. Kobe was driving a bit but wasn't getting calls (I can remember two drives in particular where it definitely looked like there was enough contact, in addition to the jumper we've all seen), and couldn't get a thing to fall regardless.

Bottom line is, the officiating was pretty horrible in the 4th and OT at the least, although I guess that's not surprising given the way the playoffs have gone. It went both ways, and the Lakers came away with the win.

actually, i think if Gasol shot the 3 and made it you probably would be saying the opposite, why run the score up and a 3 pointer too? it wont be funny either way and you'll be saying thats unsportsmanlike as well.

Bryant should be suspended 1 game for a flag 2 - intentional elbow to the face. He modified how his elbow went in, period. Watch the freaking replay.

But neither will be suspended.

And to the guy who called me a Magic fan - I'm not, I'm a Spurs fan. I just actually want Rafer to win so he can shove it in the Rocket's face, and DHow is one of my favorite players. Oh, and Hedo is an ex-Spur who cost us a post season, but I cheer for him anyways!

Howard stat line: 16 pts, 21 boards, 9 blocks.

He may not have it altogether offensively, but there is no question about his defense.

I wish Bynum would get inspired by his defensive prowess. We could definitely use a power to Gasol's finesse.

Actually I was thinking a flagrant 2 was an automatic 1 game suspension, but I don't think that's the case.

And that wasn't an intentional elbow to the face, he was trying to draw a foul and that's where it landed. It wouldn't be the first time opponents have fouled Kobe's elbow with their face tho.

The dude is a 20% 3pt shooter - I don't really care if he does the 3. Now if Ariza or Bryant had done it, that's different.

If you have Fish open, why would you risk an offensive foul by elbowing a guy in the face??

If they knew it was over they frankly should have let the Lakers inbound the ball without trying so hard to foul, at least IMO (and that's partially from a fan's standpoint, I hate seeing games dragged out by the losing team, committing foul after foul). I guess I could have worded that better - they thought they could (possibly) still have a shot at stealing the game if they managed to foul quick enough and the Lakers missed to FT's - but I can't see getting so upset over Pau finishing that play.

^^ I am only tripping on you because your vision is ONE SIDED .. but to each his own .. OH .. and because you think after all the elbows Dwight has been hammering Pau with all game that his little dunk was somehow enough to deserve a BROKEN BACK .. you are a danger to civilized society

Defensively he dominated the paint. And beyond.

Offensively, he didn't just suck, he was a liability (atleast in the 2nd half).

Exactly. Lakers were playing keep-away, and Pau was virtually wide open right there with the shot-clock running down. The two-fisted hit was unnecessary. I did like the Euro-Fight that ensued afterwards though

Pow vs Peaches.

It's weird, sometimes he looks smooth/quick as hell and other times he looks downright awkward. Guess it all depends on whether or not the shot goes in

all reporters ask retarded questions

every game, a post game interview on the floor with the winning player. let the player gather his thoughts! he just won a game! silly questions, sillier answers (not the players fault, esp. if english is not their native tongue) retarded ritual IMO

hopefully Sunday will be another close game. Magic shouldn't give up. Kobe and the Lakers have choked a 3-1 lead before. Granted that was with Kwame Brown and Smush Parker but shit happens.
