can someone who is a Lakers fan please explain something to me ...
why the hell do your fans chant "MVP MVP MVP" when Kobe has the ball?
did they miss the memo that Lebron won the MVP this year?

You dont watch much basketball do you? Ive heard the MVP chants for a million players over the years. Us Suns fans did it for Steve Nash a couple times this last year. Nuggets fans sometimes do it for Billups or Melo. Its just a way of showing your best player that you respect what they do.

i don't watch the NBA very much until the playoffs, and i have never heard an MVP chant for a player who was not the MVP that year other than at Lakers home games.

Yeah, it's one of those annoying things that many crowds do for their team's best player. Last year, the Celtics crowd was chanting MVP for both KG and Paul Pierce.

Kobe really needs to talk to his team to get them to step up more. Kobe has had 2 good games but everyone else is not having great games. Gasol still plays waaaaay too soft. He is a good player and has the skills but never has that intensity so he never gets and better. Bynum well he's Bynum. He's still young and needs a lot of training still. I wonder if he'll ever be 100% after those injuries. No one on the Lakers is consistient enough. I still do think the Lakers will win the series but damn they really need a sense of urgency.

I wonder how the ref with #49 on his jersey didn't see williams throw the ball at howard from his peripheral vision. that should have been an easy technical to call.

did you just hear that music playing while the cavs were on offense? it wasn't even a chant...it was just some r&b/jazz beat
