Between reality shows, Leno's 5 night a week gig and nights of only reruns this is the last year for the networks as we have known them.
The cable channels now reach enough of an audience to make them the equals of the networks in reach, so there is really no rationale for the networks any longer.
I think we are entering a time of more shows of lesser quality spread amongst more stations.

I'm hoping that Dollhouse and Terminator make it. They're both getting much better as they go on.
I also really like Kings, but I've heard it's already cancelled. I guess that's why they moved it to Saturday night.

Really? Chuck is on the fence? It's still fresh, I don't get how it could be cancelled so soon.
there's a campaign out there to save chuck by buying footlongs at subway the night of the season finale. thought it was interesting... but the Jay Leno show means NBC gets to/has to cancel 5 hours worth of programing.

What? They're cancelling worthwhile shows for Jay Leno, of all things?

Better Off Ted is hilarious! I have no clue about the ratings though, I haven't read too much about it after it premiered.
As for NBC's problems - they have to deal with the fact that they will soon only have two hours of programming Monday-Friday thanks to Leno taking up the 10PM spot. Am I correct in saying this?

I keep saying this each time someone mentions the ratings system (Nielsen ratings). When was the last time you met someone with one of those boxes?
