The producers/writers left the show to start working on new shows. The show is dead.

I like Harper's Island. And the only reason I'm watching it is because I expect it to last just one season. Well that and it's a decent show.

As long as The Unusuals or Southland doesn't go anywhere I'm fine. I actually enjoy both of those shows.

Just like Brian Fuller's other canceled show, Wonderfalls, Pushing Daisies final episodes will most likely be released when Season 2 comes out on DVD (and maybe a Blu-Ray release... the first season was). I think 2 of the 4 episodes were also showed at some festival?

Pushing Daisies is (was) one of my favorites. Very unique...too unique I guess.
The episode "Window Dressed To Kill" wasn't great, but "Water And Power" was better. Maybe I just can't get into it knowing it's over..

NBC?s advertising upfront meeting is Tuesday, May 5 (the first of the big English broadcast networks). Their new fall schedule will be announced no later than that date, so this is the last installment of the NBC Renew/Cancel Index before decision time.

Without further ado, here are our final predictions of the likelihood of renewal for all the NBC scripted shows that still hang in the balance. I?d bet that not everyone agrees with us. Feel free to post your guesses in the comments.

I just watched the first 4 episodes of Parks and Recreation (how can they even decide to cancel or renew after only a few eps?) and it's pretty funny. The problem is, it might be along the lines of Arrested Development funny -- not enough people that like that kind of humor. I personally think it's hilarious, though, and it has a good lead-in from the office.

Saw that tvguide finally has a tracking list for renewals. They had like 5 columns, renewed, likely renewal, possible renewal, unlikely renewal, and cancelled.

One of the interesting things was terminator was a possible renewal while dollhouse was in the unlikely category.

the fact that it's only half an hour gives is a good boost and I guess its ratings have been good enough for NBC to let it play out.

NBC said it's renewing "Heroes" and newcomers "Parks & Recreation" with Amy Poehler and police drama "Southland........The fate of other series won't be known until NBC unveils its full schedule May 19. That includes "Medium," "Chuck," "My Name Is Earl" and the original "Law & Order....

Seth Meyers anchors "Weekend Update," which is expected to kick off NBC's Thursday nights. The network already has two comedies on Thursday starring former "Weekend Update" anchors ? Poehler and Tina Fey of "30 Rock," and it's likely they'll be making return visits.......That announcement doesn't seem to bode well for "My Name Is Earl," a comedy considered on the bubble, but Silverman said no decision has been made about the show."
