Meanwhile, things look grim for NBC's new crime drama Law & Order: Los Angeles (1.9/6), which was down 21% from last week, following last week's 25% drop from the series' premiere. LOLA has not been helped by the fact that its lead-in, veteran Law & Order: SVU (2.2/6), has also been dropping fast, down another 15% last night.

Has The Event had it's second episode yet? I imagine it had a good showing for the first episode, but I've heard mixed reviews (it looked terrible to me) so I'd be interested to see how the ratings were for episode 2. :hmm:

I find that, other than sports, the only 'network' shows I watch anymore are on FX or Showtime. Sons... Rescue Me... Terriers is interesting... Dexter...

And for some reason that 'Glades' show on A&E is interesting... it's numbingly formulaic but it's interesting.

But ABCCBSNBCFOX can suck it... The last show I watched regularly on the Big 4 was probably X-Files.

Please die soon, Outsourced.

The first episode of The Event was alright, but the second episode pretty much killed it for me. 11 mil the first week, 9 mil this week. I expect an even larger drop next week. It might last the season, but I won't be watching.

Already in trouble.
Chuck
Fringe

Both had poor season premieres. Fringe posted like a 2.1. That's a cable like number.

not surprised, besides being on fox it was called a "soap". when i was setting the dvr for the first week of the season I saw that in a review and kept it off the list.

Jeez, I would have thought Fringe would start well. The end of last season was great...

Chuck and Fringe should go. Lone Star actually looked good based on commercials, surprised by the quick trigger. And yeah Outsourced needs to be executed in the public square. Here's hoping Comcast takes NBC in a funnier direction, not holding my breath though.

I thought Chuck's first episode of the season was a bit dull, but the second one was actually far better.

Fringe is alright, but they're kind of ruining what I liked about the show... the whole "weird science event of the week" aspect that they used to have. I know some people didn't like the episodic aspect of it, but if you look at a show like House ( which had a great episode last night, by the way ), it is able to blend that episodic aspect in with the basic plot lines in a decent manner.

It also reminds me of Supernatural, which did a somewhat decent job of mixing the "supernatural phenomenon of the week" with the back story. That show also moved away from that format, but supposedly it will be pushing back toward that aspect this season.

Hmm, wife and I though Lone Star was decent. Too bad it's being canned.

As for Outsourced, that show is hilarious.

The Event so far is pretty horrible - I can't stand the constant flashing back and forth between times. Watched the new episode last night after DVRing it but skipped through half of it when that got too annoying. My money says that show will tank.
I would love to see flashforward come back (though that is obviously not going to happen) which kicked ass in comparison to the event.

The first House episode was really weak. 2nd episode was better but definitely not up to true "House form".

After watching x-files on Netflix, Fringe just sucks pretty bad. The new season is horrible and I cannot make myself care about any of the characters. I did watch it pretty consistently on Hulu last season but not if the new season is like the first episode.

Hawaii 5-0 is surprisingly pretty good.

"pretty good" is pushing it, but it's a bit better than I expected...still too many "flaws" to be great, IMO.

IMO, the 2nd episode of "The Event" was a bit better than the first...but still way too much jumping around to suit me.

"The Chase" is OK, but just. I'll be surprised if it lasts more than a season.

"Blue Bloods" with Tom Selleck was pretty decent...for yet another NYC cop show. Time will tell.

I think the writers of "Castle" are about to jump the shark...stores are getting too predictable and stale.

Detroit 187 started off OK...we'll see. It actually was a bit better than I expected.

i just laughed because it would have been easier for you to simply *not* reply in the thread. Don't hate me bro! you're my neighbour in Song of the Dryads!!

a bit off-topic... I am going to have a hard time watching Dexter after the epic awesomeness of Breaking Bad. Dexter's a pussy compared to Walt.

Yesterday saw "$#!& my dad says" and boy was it bad.
I love William Shatner (he ruled Boston Legal) but that show was just painful to watch!
Bad writing and bad acting (except for Kirk!!!) ... I had to turn it off.

I thought Bones is going pretty strong and NCIS is as great as ever.
NCIS Los Angeles is entertaining (though ridiculously stupid when compared to NCIS).
I really miss Burn Notice and White Collar.
Both new Office episodes so far have been pretty weak and felt really short (felt like 10 minutes ... lack of story?)

$#!& my dad says was just downright awful. i had high hopes for it(mostly because of kirk) but it was painful to watch. but it will still probably be watched by all the same idiots that watch 2 1/2 men. instead of watching some other shows that are actually funny.

i love NCIS and record/watch all the episodes, but i dont think the acting or writing is all that great, and as much as i like Gibbs, his acting leaves alot to be desired, and all the stuff he does is so predicable. i just dont understand how it is the #1 drama on tv.

There just aren't any new shows that really pique my interest this season. With deadliest catch now gone as well I think I'll just stick to watching football.

I was willing to give Lonestar a chance, and really it wasn't too bad. I was sort of interested to see how it turned out. I do wish they would release the episodes online or something for those that want to see it. Seems dumb to take an already produced show off the air so soon, but then again this is Fox..soooo.
