Really? Compared to Ghost Hunters it's Hamlet.

I LOL at the whole "Ghost Hunters" and "The Scariest Places in the World" types of shows...those are about as lame as they get...yet apparently, people watch them.
<shakes head in disbelief>

Foolishly, out of boredom, this afternoon, I watched a couple of episodes of "Outsourced."
Holy fuck...that show is terrible...and deserves to die a swift death.

I tried a few episodes and had to stop watching. It's awful, but it's got a decent time slot and the competition isn't all that great, so it's getting acceptable ratings. At least considering that it's got to be dirt cheap to make. It's not going anywhere.

Realized that my Tivo had stopped recording Caprica month(s). Quick search shows that show got canned too.

Glad to see No Ordinary Family and Raising Hope getting renewed.

EDIT: Just read through the thread and see Caprica mentioned. A 2-hour movie about Adama should be interesting.

They should can that stupid Glee show, but sadly the masses have decided it's the next terrible thing to be made into a hit.

Medium gone isn't surprising, it barely made it to this season and seems cbs has enough well rated shows to kick off the mediocre.

Guess they were running out of bodies to film dark blue since they seemed to kill so many people each episode.

Think it's been two weeks now with no running wild, that officially get the boot yet?

Yeah, I couldn't get into that show. Noticed that they are running re-runs of Raising Hope in that slot. Kinda funny considering There's only about 5 episodes of Raising Hope to run reruns with.

They'll have to try to find another 1/2 comedy to go in that slot.

Running Wilde effectively cancelled, I don't think Fringe is effectively cancelled but this definitely does not look good

"Not so good news for Bones' current Thursday companion Fringe, which is being bumped to Friday nights to make room for Idol on Thursday."

"Fox's Tuesday lineup remains almost intact, with new comedy Mixed Signals replacing low-rated Running Wilde at 9:30 PM. (The Tuesday lineup will take a month-long break in January when Fox will air new reality game show Million Dollar Money Drop following Glee reruns.)"

Ehh Friday is almost always a bad night to end up on :\. Although, that does make one less show I have to watch on the already very crowded Thursday! Friday is extremely light with just Supernatural on.

The first two episodes were rather meh, the first episode was the movie plot tweaked and condensed to 22 minutes. The third episode was significantly better than the first two and it has been nothing but up hill since. It's quite funny imo.

Running Wilde effectively canceled sucks, I was really enjoying that show.

Dexter season 5 is terrible and they should kill it now before they ruin the shows legacy. Sad how far it fell in one season, extremely disappointing.

Clearly Dexter's next victim should be Dexter.

Once CBS moved Survivor off of Thursdays, Fox knew it had to make a move. That’s how the net execs explain their decision to change the American Idol lineup from Tuesdays and Wednesdays to Wednesdays and Thursdays in January. “We’ve been thinking about this move years because Thursdays are so lucrative and so important to the network and the sales division,” explains Mike Darnell, Fox’s head of reality programming. “As a network, we’ve never been able to conquer that night. We’ve tried in some way for 20 years but we’ve never had anything big there. Once they moved Survivor out of 8, which was the last surviving reality show in that timeslot, that got [head of scheduling] Preston Beckman thinking that now is the time to do it. Other than The Big Bang Theory, there really is not much on. “

He’s got a point there. Big Bang has continually won its timeslot in adults 18-49 and viewers (14.84 million) this season but it’s lead-out, $#*! My Dad Says, hasn’t exactly held onto every last one of those Theory fans (11.54 million). Still, CBS’ new comedy that stars William Shatner has been able to dominate at 8:30 p.m. because it airs opposite a repeat of Greys Anatomy and 30 Rock, which has never been able to muster a big following.

“That timeslot looks ripe, it’s the right moment,” explains Darnell, who also goes onto explain why Fox abandoned the idea of airing a 30-minute results show. “If you are going to attack Thursdays, you need to attack it with your biggest piece because that’s the only way anyone has ever won on that night. And if you are going to make this move, you have to have an hour show. You can’t go in with a half hour. The new format and the things happening with the show are going to make that hour make much more sense.”

And what about those new changes? Even though exec producer Nigel Lythgoe has been out there discussing a change to the top 24 and having contestants do music videos, Darnell insists that nothing has been set in stone for the new season. ”First of all, while are going to be making changes to the middle round, we wouldn’t go with no top 24. That has not been decided. We’ve talked about a lot of things and yes those middle rounds are going to be different, but it’s not like there is not going to be a top number of contestants for the audience to vote down to a top 12.”

As for Fox’s other big newsmakng move – shifting Fringe to Fridays - Entertainment President Kevin Reilly said he hopes fans don’t think he’s putting the show out to pasture. ”We are not killing the show. Over the last week, over 45% of the audience time-shifted the show. That’s almost half of the dedicated audience watching it on their DVRs. It’s been such a loyal fanbase. I will be really disheartened if the viewer base decides to not watch because it shifted one night. I hope they go with it, and if not they have the option of picking it up on their DVRs. If it does anywhere near what it did on Thursdays, we can glue that show to the schedule because it can be a big win for us.”

another on the way out:

Fox has decided not to order additional episodes of Lie to Me, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

That means the third season of the Tim Roth-starring series will run only 13 episodes. Sources close to production say the show has not been canceled, and a decision about its future will be made in the spring.

The Chicago Code, executive produced by Shawn Ryan, will take over Lie's timeslot beginning Monday, Jan. 7 (9/8c).

The most recent episode of Lie to Me averaged 6.38 million viewers.
