Most of the shows on CW get 2 million viewers or less. Their 18-49 demos is usually 1 or less. Only Top Model and Vampire Dairies can break 3 million viewers and Top Model does not repeat well. Yes, they can get some 18-34 W viewers but honestly you cannot sustain a network on this demo. Their top ad rate is 75k for an ad on Thursday on Vampire Dairies. They do not even program on Sundays, the most watched night and most expensive night of the week to advertise. CBS is subsidizing this network and it is past time to pull the plug.

ABC has made its full-season pickups of a new series this fall, handing out a back-nine orders to freshman comedy Better With You and drama No Ordinary Family. Additionally, the network has picked up 5 additional episodes from freshman cop drama Detroit 1-8-7 and 4 from veteran family drama Brothers & Sisters. Missing from the list is new legal drama The Whole Truth, which already has been on shaky ground and is preempted again next week. The episodic orders follow the pickup of 4 additional scripts each for No Ordinary Family and Brothers & Sisters 2 weeks ago. It brings the order for Brothers & Sisters to a full-season 22 from the original 18, meaning that ABC is probably considering a change in its launch plans for midseason drama Off the Map, which was to premiere in Bros & Sis' Sunday 10 PM slot. What is scaring me is that Community is consistantly the lowest rated show on Thursday nights. If that show gets cancelled, I have lost faith for all mankind.

The cable network just greenlighted a two-hour pilot for Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome, about the young years of Ensign William Adama, which hails from Battlestar Galactica exec producer David Eick.

well, my instincts seem pretty good for this season. the only shows on the major networks i didn't at least dvr once were lonestar, generations, and the whole truth which has now also been officially cancelled.

unfortunately i did watch outlaw, mainly cause friday tv schedule was very light of things to watch.

It's the end of the road for J.J. Abrams' spy drama Undercovers as NBC today decided not to pick up additional episodes from the freshman series beyond the original 13-episode order. The Warner Bros TV-produced show is now filming Episode 12. The news comes on the heels of Undercovers hitting another series low last night when it slipped to a 1.3 rating in the 18-49 demo. The slickly produced light drama, whose pilot was directed by Abrams, broke primetime ground by featuring two black actors as the leads. But it got off to a disappointing start in the Wednesday 8 PM slot and never found traction with viewers. The series will stay on for the next 2 weeks and will air its last original (for now) on December 1. It was already set for preemption on Nov. 24 when NBC is airing a DreamWorks Animation holiday special. The fate of the remaning original Undercovers episodes is unclear. This is the second new NBC series to get cancelled, along with legal drama Outlaw. The rest of NBC's freshman class all received back-nine orders two weeks ago. At the time, Undercovers got a pickup for four additional scripts.

Good. Hasta la Vista, baby...The commercials were enough to give me doubts, and it only took about 20 minutes to convince me not to watch it again. (I kept hoping it'd get better...but it didn't.)

No loss with Outlaw either. the whole premise of the show was stupid...and its delivery was even worse.

NBC announced today that starting with next years fall schedule the network will exclusively show reality shows.

Said network executive James Ivers, "NBC is aware that many of our viewers feel we are not even trying to make entertaining scripted shows. So in the interest of just giving up we are going to all reality shows". He further commented, "we couldn't help but notice our other corporate owned networks, like the Syfy Channel, are generating profitable ratings from cheaply produced shows like Ghost Hunters and Scare Tactics. If they can do it, so can we. We are also negotiating to show Wrestling seven nights a week"

The political thriller, produced by Warner Horizon Television, premiered on Aug. 1, a year after it was ordered to series, and never found a wide audience. It becomes the first AMC original series to get canceled. Here is AMC's statement: "Rubicon gave us an opportunity to tell a rich and compelling story and we're very proud of the series. This was not an easy decision, but we are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such a phenomenally talented and dedicated team."
