The Event - Seen every episode. I am close to giving up. I'm glad they did not turn this into Lost with mega long term cliffhangers. But at the same time ... advance the plot a little more. Could get really interesting towads the end of the season.

For now, I am hanging on. I will be watching next week.

Mom isn't evil (Or confirmed evil) AFAWK, she is a CIA that went into deep surveillance of Volkof (sp?) industries.

It is something that was made clear in S4Ep1.. Not exactly a spoiler if it is weeks old.

What's with this recent standard of dividing a regular season into 2 seasons now? It has become fall = one season, winter/spring = 2nd season. Is this contractual fallout from the writer's strike? Is it some marketing scam? Is it some way for the networks to strangle these shows into oblivion while they make contract decisions between these half-seasons?

I bitch b/c Mad Men's "final episode of the season" is apparently next week.

Some of it is still fallout from the strike. When the WGA got their butts handed to them the networks realized that people liked having 11-15 episodes and then a short break then 11-15 episodes and a break instead of 28 episodes and then 24 weeks of reruns.

I think too networks are realizing that more families take breaks from TV during the holidays to it makes sense to not air new episodes if ratings go down seasonally.

I don't think I've seen Criminal Minds, but I tried to watch Modern Family last season and thought it sucked...haven't bothered since.

I didn't like the first 4 episodes, but afterwards I was hooked. I went back and watched the original 4 and loved it.

I'm glad I"m not the only person who finds the event's constant flashback and flashforward annoying.

blah blah, lets see what previously happened, return to present, more blah blah, cut to another character repeat.

I doubt Chuck's mom will be a bad guy. Its just the usual teasers shows often do. Same goes with proposals, deaths etc.

Smallville is in its last season. the least they could do is undress Erica Durance more often.

The chuck people knows Yvonne strahovski is hot and sells. every episode this season has had at least a small segment of her half naked in some fashion.

I like procedurals, so I'll be disappointed if L&O:LA gets canceled. It seems like pretty much every show is doing terribly this season. Are the shows that bad or are people just not watching TV?

Just bad new shows.
Modern Family is great and its in its 2nd season. Only problem is its stuck between 2 losers.
