Anyways I'm gonna go watch the Mr. Kalllllllefooooooooorneeeeeahhhhhhh (aka Terminator) run it around the sea wall on Friday morning, then check it out as it runs past my apartment later on in the afternoon.

I live about two blocks from where the opening ceremony is being held.

They put streetview cameras on a snowmobile and got it to the top of Whistler Mountain

The torch is going to be 1.5 blocks from my apartment, although I will be just finishing up an exam at the time. Hopefully the wifey gets some good pictures.

I'll also be heading over to the Holland house beer garden/party/funthing. Looking forward to it

That's pretty cool, would be a really long ride up on a snowmobile. I've been to Whistler twice and will be going again next year, hopefully it doesn't change too much with the Olympics being there.

Thanks, but I've hit my quota on events. I have some friends coming up from the US that have all these extra tickets now for whatever reason, so I'll be seeing some extra stuff with them, even though I'm not really very interested.

I got most of my tickets for face value when the fan to fan market place first opened a month ago ($25 cross country, $75 bobsled medal round, $50 ladies aerials, $70 curling). The locals who changed their plans have all sold their tickets. It's only the scalpers now.

What tickets did they get? Also, it is VERY easy to sell the extras on the Vanoc fan to fan site.

CBC isn't televising these Games. CTV beat them to the Contract. First time ever, I think. Hopefully the coverage is as good.
