Yeah. Exactly.. from Act II things get really interesting. Usually first 3-4 hours are pretty boring.

I gave up near end of Act II and ~20 hours play time.

Too damn tedious.

Are you having issues with the combat being unresponsive or just flat out not working when you left click? I will be spamming my left click and Geralt just does not swing. He just stands around in that stupid looking sword pose he does.

Apparently you have to switch attack modes according to the enemy, if you're using the wrong one Geralt will not attack.
According to my 30 minute experience with the game anyway.

Sometimes he'll still not attack, you'll see some text over the enemy saying too fast so sometimes I'll just have to stand around and do nothing for a second or two to be able to attack again. It's weird but I'm going to stick with it and hopefully it gets better.

So, I don't know if anyone else tried that Demolition Inc demo, but the game is pretty damn fun. Bought it and spent the hour and a half playing. Well worth the $2.50 imo. It reminds me of burnout crash mode where you try to combo destruction together for more points and you set up stuff to make other cars crash as well.

I've been looking at that game for a while, might jump on it now since its so cheap.

So far this sale has been pretty crappy IMO but i did jump on orcs must die and must say i have been having an absolute blast playing it.

It's been awhile since I've played it, but I don't remember problems with not attacking unless you are trying to attack a human with a silver sword. The 'too fast' etc generally means you lost the combo and it basically knocks him out of rhythm when you do so. I'm not sure, but it might also display if you choose fast style while attacking a 'slow' enemy.

Eventually you'll get the hang of it and basically breeze through most stuff. I was very confused and somewhat frustrated whilst outside the first city (took that out on a maiden in the old mill ), but once I got into I think act2 and above it was far nicer. 5 in total, but the last is relatively short..considering the other chapters are like 10hrs each.

all in all, this was a pretty meh sale. only got 1 game, driver:sf. almost got deadspace2 as well, but i picked up the first one for $5 last year (fall or xmas sale) and still havent played it. i assume it will be on sale again in the future so i saved my wallet the trouble of parting ways with more of my money. i did get fifa12 from origin so all told, just 2 games total from the thanksgiving sales. not sure if cyber monday will have any steam deals...

I didn't pick up much for this sale so it's good for my wallet. I think I picked up Monkey Island 2 for my son and that was about it. We both enjoyed the 1st MI game.

I was so not going to get anything during the sales this year! Did well and stayed off the needle during the summer sale, but now I went and got Hearths of iron 3 for $12! Since I've been playing the hell out of EU3 I wanted to check out some more Paradox awesomeness. Also got the Total war pack (all except Shogun 2), despite owning several already, for $12.

So now I got a billion hours of addicting strategy games for $25, but no time to play any of it!

Since it was only 2.50 and I dont particularly care about the game, looks like I wont be playing.

I really, REALLY wish Steam would just not host or sell any games requiring more DRM on top of their own. Take a stand you fuckin pussies!

Yeah that has to do with the attack style, it's not that he isn't attacking it's that they're dodging or parrying every attack you do. I just started playing again and had this happen to me a couple times, once you figure out what style to use it isn't a problem though.
