I have the original disc version of Fallout 3 which doesnt absolutely require GFWL, at least not on XP, at least, not if it isnt installed. But I think if you do install Fallout 3 after GFWL then it locks in and cries whenever you try to run it again.Get both, theyre both amazing games! Fallout 3 is a bit better IMO because its bigger.
Only thing about fallout 3 is it needs GFWL to be installed as well, new vegas only uses steamworks. Fallout 3 on windows 7 worked fine for me, same for new vegas.
Damn L.A. Noire is tempting here, but I think I can wait until it goes to ~$14.99.

Did you get the DLC?
What DLC is worth it for NV? I don't really want to get all of it, but a few are cheap enough that I might as well.
Me too, I'll wait for the New Year's sale. Still need to catch up on unplayed stuff anyways.
Dang... LA Noire is tempting, but there's too many other games on sale for way cheaper. I'll wait it out.
Edit: Not too many games I'm interested in today... except for VVVVV, which is a great little game for only $1 and change.
I kinda hope people buy Red Orchestra 2. There are only about three or four populated servers right now, it died really quickly after release unfortunately. It needs a revival, because it's a good game!
How's Sniper: Ghost Warrior?
Are the Operation Flashpoint games any good?
Why is LA Noire 50% off this fast? It's good, right?
I have only watched a Playthrough of it, but it seemed more like an interactive Story than a game. There's some Driving, Shooting, and decision making, but it seemed mostly about the main Story. It's possible that the Playthrough I watched didn't play Side Missions, which would make my opinion rather limited, but it seemed to be a very On Rails type of game. The Story is pretty good though, so you might like it for that alone if that's your thing.

Sounds a bit like Mafia II? If so, I may need to go ahead and grab this. I love that kind of stuff.

I heard that Fallout 3 is a pain to get working on Win 7. Since I have Win 7 should I just get Fallout New Vegas and forget Fallout 3?
Think I may have to jump on Fallout: New Vegas.
Any of the DLCs good enough to warrant a purchase?
