http://www.moddb.com/ Should have the Complete mod. That is all you need for each is the Stalker Complete Mod. It is a simply install and it overhauls and adds a ton of stuff to the game (all for the better).

For that Defense Grid Achievement, remember you can't lose a single core and you need to get a high score (meaning having a ton of money at the end) to get it.

yeah, weird. I played through the Defense Grid level rocking it pretty hard with my normal strategy--cannons and guns, never lost a core, but only got silver. I was totally confused.

I never realized that ending money was also important--so, need to kill faster. went with the video, worked like a charm. Nice, too, because I always liked concussion towers until I ditched everything for cannons.

At least I can get Defense Grid with DLC today. I won't get Arkham City until I've played Arkham Asylum.

Anybody think that Arkham Asylum and Deux Ex: Human Revolution will get their day during this sale?

I just played Spiral Knights long enough to get the achievement (easy to get), got my coal, and will never play it again. Game didn't seem especially bad, though, just not my kind of game.

Bought Defense Grid +DLC (plus a gift copy) and all 3 STALKER games today. Why Steam, why? :'(

Revolution has been on sale a few times so it would not surprise me if it is on sale for less than $20. Arkham Asylum has frequently been on sale for $5 so again I would just check it now and then;

I played the Orcs Must Die! game and it's not too bad. I was having more fun getting Head Shots! than anything else. I think next time I'm going to toss down all tar traps and have fun with the crossbow! :twisted:

Downloaded the Complete mods as per recommendation. Already played through SOC before but not the other two. The Complete mods graphics look fabulous based on the screenshots I saw.

I'll probably be buying something every single day this year. Put it off in years past and making up for lost time.

I seem to be in the minority, but I did not care much for STALKER. IMHO, they made the combat "realistic" to the point where it wasn't fun anymore.

I played some Defense Grid last night, it's quite fun.

Don't forget about the Gift Grab Achievements in most Valve games. CS:S, TF2, LFD2 and DoD all have the achievement which you can get by collecting presents that fall from opponents when they die. Collect 3 presents and the gift achievement is unlocked. So far I got 1 coal and 2 coupons just from this.

LOL, same thing for me. Cannons have always been a staple of mine. Usage of concussion towers and Command Towers made it almost too simple to get the gold.

Maybe you should try paypal and adding like $25/$50 to your Steam wallet. If you pay via bank account I don't think there's an issue but if you make a bunch of small purchases with your CC, they can wrongly flag it for fraud.

Depends on you. It's got a ton new characters to play with, and new super combos for the old ones. The online community is supposedly bigger too, so you'll find matches more easily.

Question: Is it possible to buy games for yourself and gifts for others in one transaction? It felt like I had to choose one or the other when i bought Arkham City for my kids and STALKER for myself. So I did two transactions which was annoying.

Well, Stalker CoP doesn't launch "X-Ray 1.6 has failed to load." SoC launches, and I was able to install the Complete mod. Haven't tried to get past the menu, though.
