Me too. I don't want to buy games to get achievements, but if I can get some with games I already have then great.

I suppose I should look into this. The first time I ever loaded TF2 was 2 nights ago. Made it halfway through the tutorial and exited. Not bad, just...eh.

Do these take a while to get?

Question: Is it possible to buy games for yourself and gifts for others in one transaction? It felt like I had to choose one or the other when i bought Arkham City for my kids and STALKER for myself. So I did two transactions which was annoying.

If you like the 1st one (Arkham Asylum), you will like it.
If you've never played the 1st one, you should buy it when it goes on sale for $5, play it, and then decide if you want to get the Arkham City.


I will wait for the final final version with all of the DLCs together for <$10.

Nothing too exciting for me yet. I picked up TW:EE for 2.49 and ME1 for 4.99 even though I already have physical copies of each. Meh, for 7.50 it's nice to have them in my Steam account.

So I got another coupon that's no good til Jan 2. Question: Those coupons can't be used now, but could they be combined with a daily deal when they can be used?

Pretty sparse today though; I want Space Marine but not going to pay $25 for a single game, if I have enough money at the end I will get either THQ, Star Wars or maybe the Ubisoft pack, otherwise they have to wait for summer.

Also, what do you guys think of Silent Hill Homecoming? I haven't played a SH game since the first one back on playstation 1 lol.

I don't think you can bundle ME because EA handles all of that DLC through their own service. It's obnoxious. You can do it with DAO, but not ME, for some reason.

This is the reason I never downloaded Shadowbroker--b/c I would still have to pay more for that than I did ME2. ...it's a principle thing. :\

The only thing that looks good to me (beside ME1 and ME2 for those that still don't own them) is Divinity II for $9.99.

I picked that up on the TG sale and it is quite fun. Action-oriented RPG with very solid RPG elements. The script isn't horrible, voice is pretty good, and it actually has a nice sense of humor at times. It does become a bit "samey" later in the game, though.

Also, what do you guys think of Silent Hill Homecoming? I haven't played a SH game since the first one back on playstation 1 lol.

It's not as good as the older Silent Hill games. Also, the PC port is pretty shoddy (clunky controls, very consolized graphics, capped at 30fps, some bugs here and there).

HOWEVER, if you're a fan of horror games at all, then I'd still suggest picking it up. It's a creepy-ass game, and while it's not the best horror title out there, it definitely has its moments.

Edit: I just realized it has gamepad support. Definitely play it with an Xbox 360 controller.

I'll probably grab Blur since I like racing games of all kinds and I have my PC hooked up to my 55" plasma. A few beers with buddies and pick-up-and-play split screen racing should be fun.

Damn I am getting annoyed with Spiral Knights achievement, I can never get the snowy level and collecting 200 coins is annoying. How do you ask someone for 200 coins? (apparently people can give it to you). Have any others of you not been able to get a snowy level?

Hahah it was really easy for me too. Got in the game, didn't know what the hell I was doing, joined some random mission and acquired 200 coins. Takes no thought, just hacking and slashing monsters. Joined a lockdown mission, picked up a snowball, found an enemy and threw snow at him. Got the achievment, quit the game, uninstalled.

To get the Spiral Knights achievement, I just joined a random group going into the Clockworks training area (Co-Op PvE?) a couple of times. Got about 500 crowns from doing that, so probably only need to go there once. Then I clicked on the little crossed swords or w/e icon in the top right (out of curiosity, since I had no idea what I was doing, lol) and it gave me some option to join Lockdown or something. I join that, appears to be some kind of team PvP, grab a pile of snowballs right at the beginning and smack someone with it. Achievement achieved.

Someone convince me not to buy Limbo.

Oh, I may get that. It's looked interesting to me, despite the heavily-mixed reviews. That's the price I'm willing to pay for possible disappointment.
