2011 Steam Holiday Sale DEAD!

Anyone know if securom and the bullshit 5 activation limit has been patched out of divinity 2 yet? the dev said this would happen months and months ago but its still on the steam page. I refuse to buy a game on steam that uses DRM as buggy as securom or with any activation limit

I don't think you can bundle ME because EA handles all of that DLC through their own service. It's obnoxious. You can do it with DAO, but not ME, for some reason.

This is the reason I never downloaded Shadowbroker--b/c I would still have to pay more for that than I did ME2. ...it's a principle thing. :\

Don't forget about the Gift Grab Achievements in most Valve games. CS:S, TF2, LFD2 and DoD all have the achievement which you can get by collecting presents that fall from opponents when they die. Collect 3 presents and the gift achievement is unlocked. So far I got 1 coal and 2 coupons just from this.

I wonder if this is worth doing. So I just play LFD2 and kills people and get coupons/coal whenever I kill 3 people?

You will only unlock the achievement once for each game that has the achievement. L4D2 probably took the longest of the 4 that I got. You get the achievement by playing Versus rounds and collecting the gifts that will appear at random when the special infected are killed. Collecting 3 gifts will unlock the achievement "Valve Gift Grab 2011-L4D2" .

You don't even need to join a online server to get the achievement in CS:S, just create a server and populate it with bots if you wish. I got the one in DoD today after about 10 minutes on a online server.

Umm.. because DoD hasn't been featured on Steam's front page yet?

You'll get your prizes when Steam actually lists those games in the daily objectives. Because they haven't done DoD yet, you won't see anything appear in your inventory yet. Hang tight.

I've been grinding christmas achievements for the past few days now, and many of them are like this. Hard Reset, Audiosurf, Beat Hazard, Super Meat Boy, L4D2, and TF2 are all games that I got the achievments in, but I haven't gotten prizes for anything yet. They'll automatically show up in your inventory when the objectives actually appear on Steam.

Sometimes you can try opening up a game the Steam inventory system. TF2, l4d2, spiral knights and it'll refresh your inventory.

Broke down and bought E.Y.E. Divine Cybermancy, Toki Tori, and Blur. $10 total.

I spent over $100 during last year's holiday sale... I told myself I would never spend that much again. Nope. Looks like I'm splurging this year as well.

Single player is all bots. Really just multiplayer with bots instead. There's no real story line like there is with BC2 or BF3. I would get it for $5 if you plan on any multiplayer at all.
