Well, in the end I got E.Y.E, Limbo, Broken Sword Trilogy, Dark SEctor and Operation Flashpoint- Dragon Rising.

Only one of those things wason my wish list, I need to do better than that tomorrow...

how do you like eye? I was interested in the game when it first came out on steam but i heard the controls and interface are clunky

I spent 2.50 on it today.

tried to hack a door in the early tutorial area.

Got owned by the door--it hacked me back and killed me.

Finally won a game from the gift pile, RoboBlitz. Don't own it and it looks ok, hell I'm happy I got something besides coal or coupons, and to top it off a game I don't own which is pretty impressive in itself as I am close to 400 on Steam.

So, played TF2 last night and got the Christmas Present Achievement. What does that get me in terms of the Great Gift Pile? I don't see anything added to my inventory.

Edit: TF2 is still as fun as ever.

lol! I might be able to tell you in time for Summer 2013 sale!

I just bought it based on screenshots and stuff, and cheapness of course.

I see it on Steam for 5.00. Was it 2.50 a previous day?

It was part of the "ninja sale" which means it's sale price doesn't follow the timelines of the daily sales.

It was $2.50 in the afternoon. But was $5.00 last night. My kid wanted it but we were out and couldn't buy it (Steam needs a mobile app!!). Got back and it was $5.00. Kid is pissed. Hope it goes on sale again.

How do you easily locate these "ninja" sales?

You don't, not easily. I have about 90 games on my wishlist and I look at those a few times per day. Suddenly I looked and saw that E.Y.E. was on the bottom of it at $2.49, so I was like huh? And clicked and sure enough it was a daily deal even though not on the front page.

The only other way would be to use advanced search to scroll through all steam games. If there was a way you could mark games you weren't interested in so they would never show up on any list for you again, that would actually be a worthwhile endeavor, as they would still be marked next year and so on.

I haven't bought anything yet which is good for me since I have so many cheap unplayed games I bought on previous sales. I'm waiting for real awesome deals to spend money on.

Haven't bought anything yet. Tempted on Space Marine, but from what I hear about it's length I think I'll just rent it on Xbox and play it that way.

Looking through my wishlist, I can't believe that The Last Remnant is still a full priced $49.99 game when it was released 2.5 years ago.

They had The Last Remnant for $9.99 back during Summer. It's on my list, I just don't know when I'll get to buying it.

Played about 10 minutes of TF2 and no one I killed drop anything (was playing pyro). Am I doing it wrong?
Like myself, you probably haven't been playing twelve hours a day for the last few years. At least that's why I can't seem to do anything but spawn and get killed almost instantly.

yeah, this is what keeps me away from these long-running ultra popular online FPS games. I'd get about 20 seconds of alive time and 50 minutes of "teabagged-by-a-15-year-old" time before logging off.

Start your own private server, commit suicide over and over, pick up any presents that you drop. Profit.

I used this method in TF2, CS:S, And DoD:S.

Well just checked, EYE is 2.50 now for the next 28 hours.

I suspect that pontifex is correct in that overall, it will be rather meh. The interface for using powers and functions is rather clunky and distracting (no hotkeys from what I can tell), and everything feels rather basic.

Still, it seems neat enough and I'll probably get far enough into it for $2.50-worth.

Now, if only I can survive that god-damned door. :hmm:

To do the Trade one, do you have to actually trade or can you just give someone something? If just give, someone accept my 50% Valve coupon, you can have it! If must trade, someone trade me a 33% Valve for my 50% valve, lol.

i have money in my steam wallet but the deals aren't too great today. The railworks price is awesome though.

Saints Row is cheaper at GMG today ($20) or direct from the uk thq site ($24 + it comes with the $20 dlc)

I'll probably buy Railworks for $3.74. That's an attractive price for some good, uhh, train simulator action. I like trains.

Saints Row 3 is an awesome game, but it's still new, and hence still kind of expensive. I can understand not wanting to buy it.

RAGE is tempting, but I feel like it's more of a tech demo than an actual game. I should probably wait (unless someone can convince me otherwise).
