if you email amazon they'll usually price adjust if it's within a week or so.

Well, I was really hoping the Sega sale on Amazon would overlap when Sonic was on sale on Steam, but when I saw Amazon say "New deals tomorrow!" I just ended up jumping on it because you never know how bad the Steam deal could be.

I'm not too worried about $5 though. Amazon has treated me well enough in the past that they can have it.

That's very YMMV now. Amazon used to have a virtually hassle free price adjust/match policy.

Now they specifically say they won't price adjust, but ultimately it comes down to your CSR.

They refused a recent purchase that was cheaper the same day it arrived.

Amazon refused to price match themselves on an item that I had only had for 5 days and purchased as a Christmas gift. Tried talking to another CSR the next day and he refused too, than after I said it makes no sense Amazon rather lose a sale then price match their own price he "made an exception". I was happy in the end, but it did piss me off that for the amount of money I spend there that they did this to start with. It was a fair size price drop too (almost $70).

is it really only 5.1gb download and install? Am I missing something? Is there another package that will install on first play?

either way, I'm going to hit up the thread and scour those recommended mod packages, particularly for inventory.

Hahah you're not missing anything. It's a console game, has a lot of low-res textures, and re-uses a lot of assets. It's no big deal.

I'm afraid to install any mods for Skyrim because Bethesda are still actively releasing patches, and any mods you download can be instantly broken. Games like Oblivion I'll mod the hell out of because it's old enough, but Skyrim I won't even bother with modding yet until they decide they're finished patching it.

Oh, that's a good point. I downloaded Ravenseal's package but I'll probably wait on it.

I think I figured out my problems with Rusty Hearts. The game just simply has an awful control scheme, and I can't seem to change it. :| They originally told me to use WASD to move, but then my abilities started getting assigned to ASDF (Z, X, C = Block, Attack, Grab respectively). So, you have to move with the arrow keys, and adjust your camera with the mouse. Thankfully, you don't have to do that while attacking, so you only have to move your hands around when you want to talk to someone (X).

I have a feeling that I could play this game a lot better by sacrificing buttons and just using a controller.

But I suppose "Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition" is better than regular "Street Fighter IV", no?

I don't play them much anymore either, but from what I know, it's like buying Street Fighter 2 when there was already Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo available. I don't think they're interoperable either.

I bought AE on this sale. I've owned and played SF4 for awhile now. I'd say to go ahead and get AE if you're going to buy one. More characters, more combos, bigger online community, better looking, and has a more polished feel to it. Fun game.

Set yourself a budget, like you would with any other part of your finances (given that your financially responsible of course). For instance, this year I'm limiting myself to $30 total in the sale and I've only spent about half that so far (Hard Reset and Fallout 3 GOTY).

That's good advice (but hard to follow). My budget is $30 this year as well. $10 for BG1 and 2 at Gog, $5 for Hard Reset.....I've still got half my budget to spend. Steam knows what I want (they're on my wishlist). They just need to put them on sale......
