Anybody else getting an SQL Server error message when loading Super Meatboy?

Deus Ex was one of those games--along with Rage that I was hoping to pick up.

But I'm not going to get it. Why? because of fucking Skyrim. I downloaded Rage, and it took about 36+ hours for the damn download on my shitty connection and poor Holiday steam servers. Skyrim took about 5 hours to DL. I tried loading Rage--CTD on initial attempt. I've since been playing Skyrim, and have had little incentive, now, to give a flip about Rage and updating video drivers, etc. Surprisingly, Skyrim is running quite well on my 5850 with ~1 year-old catalyst drivers.

Hmm... probably will pick up Deus Ex HR. I have all of the Fallout NV DLC except Dead Money and Honest Hearts which I've read are probably the two weaker ones.

Honest Hearts was my favorite DLC.

Dead Money aint great though

Me too. Well I'm not playing Skyrim, I just can't seem to care about the doing the achievements.

Same here. The achievement thing just seems like a distraction. However, as a result of the achievement process, I did end up getting Psychonauts based on discussions in this thread about the game. I actually like that game a lot.

I too am not playing Skyrim (although I did get it on the sale). Instead, I have hooked myself on Rage. I haven't run into any CTD problems and don't understand what all the hate is about for this game. I love it so far (about 12 hours played). I seem to recall paying $15 for it, which is the same amount I foolishly paid for DNF (reminder to never let nostalgia drive buying decisions). I cannot imagine a greater divide in game playing value for the same price.

I just got stuck in psychonauts. I'm at a part where I need a cobweb remover of some sort and it costs 800 arrowheads. I have like 250 and the dousing rod. So stupid I don't think I'm going to go any farther in this game. Sad too cause I was enjoying it.

I actually got a game that I don't own from the achievement thing (Bit Trip Runner), so that's not too bad. I kind of wish that I would get a more expensive title (like Skyrim) for free though.

I also missed out on it. And I won't get it if it goes back on sale on the first because I already have so damned many games I need to get through that I can wait until July 4th. Deus Ex was tempting but with Rage and Skyrim waiting to be played and a dozen others (with some time left over for my wife and children), I figure I can can Deus Ex and BMAC for a pretty good price come this summer.

Using the dowsing rod is pretty simple, and you can get lots of arrowheads pretty quickly. I'll try to help you out there if you can tell me what you are having a problem with? I'm loving Psychonauts, but haven't liked Dungeon Defenders. But I haven't given it much of a chance, I suppose.

Was going to pounce on Deus Ex: HR. But have quite the backlog now that I cannot possibly hope to finish before the next sale where Deus Ex will probably go on sale again. I spent about $20-$25 so far on this steam sale this year and last year.

Using the dowsing rod is pretty simple, and you can get lots of arrowheads pretty quickly.

Indeed, once you get the dowsing rod, it's a piece of cake to collect arrowheads.

Today should be the last day of deals. Not sure about tomorrow because they obviously don't want the sale prices to overlap when all these coupons will start working on Jan 2.

They might not enable the coupons until 10AM PST, which would allow them to do a recap day tomorrow. I looked in the coupon FAQ, but it doesn't say when a "day" starts.

I guess if we have a recap today, that question will be answered.

Hoard is 65 metacritic but looking at the screens I have to ask anyway...fun?

Just picked up LA Noire for $12.49, heard good things about it so it should be worth the price of admission.

My damage so far:
Mass Effect 1 (finished it on the PC years ago, gave it to a coworker and never saw it again)
Mass Effect 2 (friend of mine had it for the 360, and he let me borrow it and I did finish it, plan is to replay both and get the 3rd to complete the series)
The Orange Box - heck of a deal I couldn't pass up. Plan on replaying HL again later this year.
Metro 2033- for $5 it was a no brainer!
